@luigiblox I get enough missiles and super missiles to get through the Zebetite room, and I have no choice about getting the suits...it's the only way to progress without taking damage. I don't need the power bombs...I don't think I pick up many of them.
@luigiblox It's possible to get this energy tank this early in the game. But it's a true pain without high jump. You need to use bomb jump so : go upper crateria, kill the boss, come back here, and it's still a pain in the ass to get it with bomb jump because the block that reveal the energy tank close very fast. I manage to get it that way, but that's a pure time loss. Or maybe you have an other way to do that?
If I were doing something like this, I would just use the rewind function. Though it wouldn't be a TRUE no-damage speedrun, it would at least let you get through without damage (according to the game).

No, the Mother brain uses the hyper beam which causes 300 points of damage. It's scripted so the game can't continue unless you are hit by it. I only needed 3 energy tanks, but I collected more out of habit.
Yeah, I've actually died to Mother Brain in speed runs to her hyper beam. It's so frustrating to play for nearly an hour straight and then die at the very end to a scripted sequence.
I just watched through the ceres station and that seems very doable without getting hit by steam/ceiling. Maybe I just haven't actually played this game in awhile but yeah, you could probably dodge those. Note this is not a flame, I agree with you on the don't damage don't count part.

You could also do it a lot faster. I made a LOT of mistakes that rewind would have rocked to use.
I did use save states to practice for this though.
