You shoud have learned from the euro Ford past.....Cosworth would be much better power unit in it....if it had potencial like the Escort Cosworth RS, then it would be something....
think this is too underpowered ST-R. It seems to me too road car. How am I going to replace the RS with this? How am I going to confront the Seat Leon Long Run in the 2012 Italian championship with a ST-R so little race car that seems so little power?
@PorscheKillerGTR The ST isn't a replacement for the RS, that still has to come yet. Why can't people figure that out yet? Ford has already said a RS replacement is in the works.
@vix121 Our RS weighs 1245 kg, 1100 kg weighs Seat Leon Long Run, we have a totally standard gear box, the Long Run has a sequential gear box with rocker behind the wheel, we do not have aerodynamic downforce, the Long Run yes, we have 354 hp and their "maybe" 330 .......... is not it possible that next year will keep this obvious difference between Ford and Seat in favor of the latter.
@vix121 Do not forget that even the frame Seat has nothing to do with any standard Seat Leon Cupra R from which, according to the Regulation should derive the Seat racing. If the characteristics of the STRare those we have described the possibility of victory in 2012 are equal to 0
@vix121 In the Italian Championship Endurance Superproduction Turbo. We fought hard with the Seat Leon Motorsport and his long runs. The technical regulations of the championship disadvantage the 2500 cc turbo .
I was hoping that the new EcoBoost 2000cc of STR arrive at least 350hp.
