  • Wow, we would never have any of those things in a working space. It was prohibited. They are loose with regulations with state side ships.

  • @shawntexan I worked on the Kitty Hawk from 2005 to 2009, and being forward deployed, the regulations on what can and can't be in specific spaces was strick. I was a part of deck department and our spaces were nearly spotless and also had no personal stuff in it; on the other hand, AMID had more personal items in it and it was messier. But I can say that the spaces in video were worse than what I saw on the Kitty Hawk.

  • When was this filmed? I served aboard her in 1989-1990. I was with VAW-117 and my shop and birthing was,at that time, was right below CAT 4 on the bow and it really sucked during flight ops...It was Jerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....BOOM! Over and Over again...LOL! But I had a blast on that cruise...I spent most of this cruise TAD to First Lieutenant...

  • Back in 1998, on the Carl Vinson a pack of cigarettes were $1.50 in the vending machines. All soda's and candy were 50 cents.

  • thanks for the comments yeah most Navy people are asshole maybe it comes from being traped on a ship for 6 months. 

  • Thank you so much for sharing it, my father join the Navy in1958 and got on USS Enterprise in 1972, going around the globe, across the equator!
