those birds are fast , when there was a new neighborhood being built a whole flock came. Since it was a flat area for a while they could see predators. The cunstructors were puting seeds for the grasses to grow and for that they attract those birds.

I saw one of these on the roof of a building i was working at once. The roof was all small rocks and its eggs were blended right in. Lucky we didnt step on them by accident. It was doing the "help ive fallen and i cant get up" trick for like 2 hours, lol. Funny bird but a effective method.
