  • My school is doing Good News this year, and I can't wait to do this dance!!

  • Well done

  • These kids are VERY good....I love songs & dances from the 1920's. Looks like everyone is having a fun time...and that's what counts. THANKs for sharing this delightful clip with us!

  • Your high school is one very very gay school

  • My schools doing Good News this year, its a lot of fun! I'm really happy at how its coming. This was one of the first scenes we learned. It sooo different than this one. But they're both good :)

  • This is a very good version!

  • that was pretty good. my school is doing Good News this year, once i get a tape or dvd of it ill see if i can post our varsity drag as a response to see what people think.

  • Great dance, however I felt Babe's singing voice to be irritating... you can do a character voice like she was doing, but the singing needs to be more important in a musical and i felt like the voice really made the singing suffer.

Also didn't like the boring manner in which Tom's passing was announced - I prefer it at the end:

    "The Varsity Drag![applause]"

    "HE PASSED!!"

  • agree COMPLETELY

  • That is excellent work for highschool students!!!!!

  • Praise indeed coming from the high priestess of popular dance.

  • hahahahhaha LOL

  • Praise indeed coming from the fount of all knowledge of popular dance. I have only one criticism, the high pitched voice of the lead diva would drive you crazy. Otherwise it's excellent. Did you all have to go and learn tap dancing especially.

  • I played the lead diva, and my director directed me to speak and sing that way, but that's the way Babe's character is portrayed.. We took tap dancing lessons and learned the numbers a lot after school, hard work, I'll tell ya'!

  • OK darling, my apologies. Your voice is growing on me anyway. I'll bet it was hard work to get it that good. Varsity Drag is my favourite 1920s number. Shurayuki is my friend and she knows everthing about popular dance and 20s/30s musicals. We're both 1920s fanatics.

  • Thank you for saying it was excellent work. I love the 1920's as well, how did you get into loving the 20's??

  • I'll have to message you on that one sweetheart. It's too long for a comment.

  • This is a fun song and fun performance. Thank you for sharing this with me.

  • Well I messaged you on this twice honey and might as well have saved myself the effort. You haven't even read either of them yet. You don't go to YouTube much do you, not even to see yourself.

  • My Junior High is doing this and we are putting the show on February 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. It's gonna be great! i love it so much! Our cast is made up of grades 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. I am in 8th and i got casted as Professor Kenyon. I wanted the part of Connie, but I was told that Kenyon was supposed to be a strong singer and took the as a compliment.

  • Take it from me if Shurayuki18481 says this is excellent then it is. She's an expert on all forms of popular dance. if I have any questions I always ask her.

  • i didnt know this number was to be tapped to but the choreo is awesome!!

  • not bad not bad at all dancing a little sloppy but entertaining

  • is North Syracuse High school!

  • Which High School is this?

  • O yea and really good choreography!

  • I sure wish we can do this show.
