Ok...so I have been flying inside for months....I just got a DH9083 and its ok but I want to fly forward not go where the wind takes me....I consider myself an advance beginner seeking to move in the intermediate, no 3d flying yet just hovering, fast forward, figure 8's and some circuits........I want to know what heli would you guys suggest would be the next logical step.
That's some nice fly there man, nice work. Thanx for sharing with us. I'm planning on getting this next month. It's very stable from what I've seen so far, nice, very nice. +1
Very nice flying of your G2. I just got one the other day, Do you have any issues with the Cyclic control feeling sluggish? I got one brand new, but controlling it seems very slow, not fast and crisp. Could it be slow servo's? or design of the way the servo's connect indirectly to the swashplate? It seems really slow with the right/left cyclic response. Just wondering if you had the same issues or had found a way to fix it? thanks.
Yes, mine was pretty hard to control as well when I first got it. Unfortunately the stock radio equipment is garbage. I replaced mine with the following and it flew 100% better.
Transmitter: Spectrum DX6i
Receiver: Spectrum AR6100
Cyclic Servos: Hitec HS-65MG
Tail Servo: Hitec HS-56HB
Gyro: Futaba GY401
Not long after that I moved it all into a T-Rex 450SE V2. Much better heli.
Nice flying man i have the same one but what battery do i put into it becuase my battery that it came with didnt fit. And i need to buy a nother could anyone tell me.
Nice flying man. I could actually feel the nervousness and tension, espencially in the last part when u came in for landing and pulled down the throttle as soon as u touched ground to take a long awaited breath of air.
Thanks...it's a great hobby! Unfortunately I crashed my Exceed G2 a couple of weeks ago, but I just finished building a new Trex 450SE V2 that I'm hoping to get in the air real soon.
It's a cheap helicopter Ninja...don't waste your money. Knowing what I know now, I would have never purchased it. Do yourself a favor and get something nice (like a T-Rex 450, T-Rex 500 or even a Blade 400).
I don't know about the Walkera, but you can find the "Align T-Rex" and "Eflite Blade 400" pretty much everywhere (HeliDirect . com, ReadyHeli . com)...just to name a couple. The Blade 400 isn't necessarily the better helicopter, but it comes with a decent radio (Spectrum Dx6i) and it's ready to fly for only $469.99. You'll also need a battery and charger, but it's still a pretty good deal.
I'll think about it, but I don't think it would have prevented my last crash because it wasn't a matter of keeping it in level flight, I actually flew it into something...my right arm :(

Nice a Trex should be fun to fly. So what happened to the G2? you couldnt repair it?
zy1980core 3 years ago
It's repairable, but it was going to cost me about $80.00, so I decided to put the money into a nicer heli.

You Might wanna try the fma co-pilot at $69.00 it will pay for itself in part replacements and time in rebuilds.

Thank you! Unfortunately I'm grounded for at least 2 weeks as the result of another crash.

Congrats on a great looking flight. Looks just as stable with the training gear off. Keep up the good work!

Thank you! I've still got a lot to learn, but I'm having a great time doing it.
