Man I hate these God dam Honki Tonks overly Hypo freeks of 10 TV moreons. They have nothing to show except thire overly hyper promos. This is what they always shouting.
"10 TV HD YEA THATS HD.. NEWS WEATHER AND TRAFFICS WITH A FUCKIN CHOPER, COPTER HELICOPTER ITS A DUAL DOOPLER DOUBE DECKER SUPER SUBERBAN DOUBLE DUBL DUTY CAMANDO ACTION NEWS DOOPLER WE GOD THE DOPLER SO WE FLY OVER THE CITY WITH OUR SUPERIOR DOPLER COPTER TO BRING THE FUCKING WEATHER.." LOL.. Get a life you country moerons.
"Local Programming" is nearly non-existent. It would be great to see more locally produced shows...instead of infomercials all weekend. Buy as far as crews go - Jerry Revish is an excellent "newsman" and Mike Davis has been there since Holbrook (and has been in my opinion the best of the local weathermen since. I still think he got the shaft when they brought Chris Bradley in- which IMO does nothing for the broadcast.
Yes, the channel 10 news crew was one of the best. Also Tom Ryan, Roy Briscoe, Ted Mullins, Marty DeVictor, and Lee Vlisides are some of the great names from the past. Bob Orr and Dana Tyler moved up to the national news ranks, and Bob Circosta became extremely successful on the Home Shopping Network.
Ditto on the shows. I loved the vaudeville piano number that would play during Flippo's "blackboard graffiti" sketches. Plus, who can forget the snappy military march theme to "In The Know"?
Unfortunately, the new crew at WBNS do not compare to the likes of Joe Holbrook, Dan Imel, Bill Pepper, Chet Long...even Lou Forrest. I sure miss the old 10TV that had Flippo, Chiller Theatre, Fritz the Night Owl...those sure were the good ole' days.
