i heard about those they showed one of those cafes on the Discovery channel. i think that, that's a great idea. animals can be a great emotional therapy, especially if one cannot own a cat of their own. those cats are living a good life.

my friend told me about a dog cafe like that in korea several years ago. pretty cool! they should do something like that in the west too! it would be great for city people who aren't allowed pets in their rented homes as well as for kids whose parents won't allow them to have a pet (like mine did when i was growing up... *waah*)

Here's some funny trivia : at one cat cafe in Tokyo, the cats they are keeping there, are Norwegian forest cats. ^_^ I watched it on the news some days ago.

Those cats look far more active than the ones at Nekobukuro at the Tokyu Hands store in Ikebukuro. Although the cost is the same you can stay all day if you like at that one.

wow! this is such a good idea! It'd be great to have places like these for cats in care homes waiting to be adopted or something? The money they make from coffee/tea and the hours could be put towards the cats food and the wages of employers =O

A cat cafe. I also know there are dog cafe's and cos-play type cafe's and of course the more famous Maid Cafe's. The strangest thing though is seeing people with their pet dogs in a push chair. I remember seeing a couple with a pram but instead of a baby they had a dog. After that I notice more people with dogs in prams or push chairs.

Wow what a great idea! You give a home to a bunch of cats and give people the chance to play with cats when they otherwise couldn't. Living in new york city i completely understand. I'd pay to play with kitties!

There is a dog hotel/spa in my city by the way!  haha. You can drop your dog off and they can get a spa. Funny!

I once saw a man at a cafe in Tokyo with his cat. They were reading the newspaper together. The cat was sitting there like a little person. it was hilarious. I have a cat in California, his name is Chibi, he is cranky all the time because he is 16 years old.
