@ALegoClone Y-wings were around and first made in the clone wars, the rebellion found the old battered clone y-wings and repaired them to the point where they worked. Thats why they are missing the armor in the original trilogy. Hope this explains things.

I have the Titanium Series of this Clone Wars Y-wing and the Yellow and white color patterns are the exact opposite.

(White is where yellow supposed to be

I learned both versions are correct, in the second part of the malevolence sieres of the clone wars-the y-wings used are both colors, anakin's is the opposite color scheme of the y-wings used by the clones. just clearing up my confusion over your comment. :)

i like the classic y wing much better. this one seems a bit too simple. the older one, (or newer one since its in the original trilogy) looks much more complex, and rigid.

The classic Y-wing is supposed to because after the Rebels found these Y-wings without armor they just added a few parts and wires to keep the ship together unlike the Republic who bought the Y-wings fully armored, I do like both Y-wings because I have both but the Clone Wars one is my favorite

yes that is true, but you know it is pretty cool and if you get the magnaguard, hyena, cont... you can have good battles and it probably works good in stop-motion. The set is not over priced because anything 554pieces is retailed at 59.99(except fighter tank) and the tank droid and separatist shuttle are over priced, retail for up to 260pieces is 19.99 but i cant complain about them I love them and dont own them yet(use to work at Lego store thats why I know all this) But its actually worth 60.
