i personally like them both. i drink Draught when I'm in the mood for something a little lighter and Extra Stout when I really feel like having something with that signature Guiness roasted flavor. I'm just a big fan of Guiness in general... nice review!
It has been said but I'll say it too... The bottle Draught was specifically made for bottle drinkers. It wasn't meant to be poured in a glass. The canned Draught on the other hand is meant to be poured in a glass. Cheers. Guinness is GOOD for you!
@trentislegend2 I have heard that. Can you explain exactly why it should be poured in the bottle? Is there a reason? I have heard them all but nothing has convinved me it HAS to be poured in the bottle.
I just got done putting down an Extra Stout right before I commented. You ain't lyin about the strength. Its got abit more bite upfront against the regular draught, especially when I pull a fresh cold one out the fridge. Can't really go wrong with either one when you put it with some meat lovers thin crust pizza or buffalo wings with ranch sauce.
when i had the regular draught at tha bar, i really was expecting a whole lot more. something really thick, knock your socks off huge flavor. but really i was dissapointed when i tasted it. tasted like roasted water..... and teh fact that it was creamy made it worse cause its like they are trying to cover the weak taste up with the creamyness. ima put it like this, tommyknockers cocoa porter blew it away and its a porter lol. maybe im bein a lil too harsh tho
Pretty well is exactly the same. Good Review. I think everyone agrees with the assessment that the Draught is alright but there are better versions (and better stouts) out there.
Great review i haven't seen the bottled Guinness Draught in Denmark, i think we only get the canned version, but i prefer the Guinness Foreign Extra Stout. Cheers!!
its a mistake to use the bottle the canned one is the one you pour into a glass if you read the label it says "pour into glass" and "drink from the bottle" this is why I never buy the bottle one unless its the extra one. I think Guinness Draught is the best light beer in the world so I would give it at least a b- maybe a b.
You're not supposed to pour out the bottle version of the Draught (the canned version is meant to be poured out). I got trolled hardcore because I poured out the bottle.
Fuck those people. Pouring out is the way to go. The "no pour" thing is a marketing gimmick for idiots... go figure they would be the ones to troll you.:)
Give beamish a go,you can get stronger stout than Guiness, although i love Guiness for any occasion.

ipswich oatmeal stout beats the shit out of this stout

I much prefer the Extra Stout. The Draught is more creamy and less carbonated, which I don't like.

The Extra Stout is a damn fine brew. The Draught in the can and/or bottle tastes like cold, watered-down coffee.

@opmike343 Agreed.

The extra stout was the drink I baught myself, at 2 am when I turned 21 when I got off work!

The way the bottle drought is designed, you can drink it straight from the bottle, it can even taste better then when you glass it.
Donavan68 6 months ago
I'm not drinking Guinness from the fucking Canadians. I want it from St. James gate where it belongs, therefore the Draught is better.

I find Extra Stout to be too bitter. I love Draught. I will never drink Extra Stout.

Great video, bud. I like extra stout better. Draught is too creamy

@TheFoamingHead i was posting about the comment concerning pouring guiness draft bottles into a glass ,pfft I like my beer in a glass.
justaman6972 1 year ago
@TheFoamingHead i think he is talking about the draught bottle, on the bottle it self it recomends to drink strait from the bottle
resin807 1 year ago
@TheFoamingHead ur supposed to drink these in the bottle

I prefer the more chocolatey taste of the draught to the extra stout... greatly prefer, actually.

If you hold Guinness up to the light, it's actually a dark red.

I just had the o' hara's Irish Stout and absolutely loved it.
TheFoamingHead 2 years ago
Defiantly! O'Hara's is a veery powerful dark stout. much stronger than Guinnes in flavour. very nice beer

250 Brew isn't available anymore, I got to try it at the Scottish Games in New York last summer, been meaning to upload the video from it.

You tried for the perfect pour, but forgot that the bottle is only 11.2 oz.. Best beer hands down!

Check the description for a little information as well as my reason for pouring the Draught into a glass.

Really good review.

I used to have that same shirt. Think it comes with one of the glasses and a hat.
I liked the Extra Stout the best, then 250, then regular Draught.
Yeah, the draught is really watery and thin and very mild tasting. The Extra is better.
Totally agree with the ratings on this.
Great video!

@elharlock LOL! Yeah I don't really see how the nitro widget would affect the taste whether poured out or sucked from the bottle.
When I re-reviewed the canned version the first thing I noticed was it tasted pretty much exactly the same as the bottle version.
