  • cool but does it play metal? XD

  • These are passive hot alnico humbuckers

  • also, i cant find this anywhere, are these active or passive pickups?

  • hmm, the metal sounds a bit muffled? Is that the pickups or the amp? (with it being a bluesy amp)

  • what is the name of the song you played at the end starts with clean and goes with shredding?.::D

  • What is the amplifier?

  • @koksix1 Fender Hot Rod DeVille 212

  • @koksix1 It's a Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 combo with a Boss Metal Core pedal.

  • I would like to find a single coil stratocaster that is really warm sound but fairly classically designed as in nothing like the no load tone control or s1 switching and with a rosewood fingerboard on the cheap, whats your advice?

  • To all those who need to know what kinda music can be played. I have the candy apple red with maple fretboard, I think you could play most anything you want with this guitar. If you want a clean sound it is absolutely great, and it has incredible distortion I love my guitar absolutely love it, and most important to me it plays as well as any fender I've ever played.

  • Great. Guitar, I have had my Black Top for just over a week. I love this thing so much, it looks awesome as hell. And it plays very well. I have not had mine set up at all, made a few adjustments myself and it's just right. The sound is somewhat different but yet it has that classic fender sound when you want it. And then it has that heavy sound I love from humbucker pickups.

  • what is the second song?

  • Question! its the blacktop good to play MUSE?

  • @Lisogarcia I think the Blacktop would be great for the Muse sound the humbucker that come in it are very hot and aggressive. You can also switch the single coil as well which makes the Blacktop strat super versatile. $454.99 at nstuffmusic with coupon code FENDER35

  • You look like Rob Chappers :P

  • Anybody knows hoy much does it cost the guitar? And if anyone knows about a place in Canada that sells it cheaper? Because i want this for next year and im gonna buy it by mi friends.Im from Perú thanks!

  • holy crap its slash

  • 0:41 Baby Sinclair

  • What song is he playing at the beginning?

  • that is 1 sexy guitar

  • Hey yall.

I'm really new to guitar. I have no idea how to play and I don't even own one. But I am asking for one for Christmas, along with lessons, and this one is particularly catching my eye. Is it a good one to start off with? If not, can you give me some ones that are?

  • @ForChristMetal This guitar would be a great guitar to start with if it's in your budget.

  • @ForChristMetal

I would advise you to go to a few stores here and there and feel some of the guitars.Get your hands on the neck and see if you like the fit and the feel. You will learn quicker and with a lot less hassle if you find an instrument that feels confortable in your hands .It will inspire you to work harder at mastering it.A low actioned guitar; where the strings lie pretty close to the frets is a good starting point for beginners..High string action is very off putting for beginners

  • I know it's versatile, but is it good for Pink Floyd, something like Comfortably Numb?

  • Do you get a lot of feedback/noise when using high gain (metal distortion) ??

  • @Oshia666 No more than your typical humbucker.

  • Would this be good for a southern rock sound like skynyrd ?

  • @wweoutsider91 Yes the Blacktop Strat is really versatile. $454.99 at nstuffmusic with coupon code.

  • Metal is BORING !

  • @aivopark just because you don't like that kind of music doesn't mean you should diss it in front of youtube because after all FUCK HATER!!!! (btw metal rules)

  • Right now i only have the deluxe players in sunburst rosewood neck....i want this guitar...any chance you played this with the mapleneck? Im deciding on that still, either sticking with the rosewood like the deluxe or try the maple

  • @FrnkEzee Yes we have the maple necks in stock at $454.99 with coupon code. The sound a little tighter and brighter. If you need a coupon code let me know thanks, nstuffmusic.

  • @NstuffMusic Thanks..it'll be in about a month or so...so i'll be checking back with you. I still might stick with the rosewood..since i already use it with my deluxe :)

  • which song is that, at the end of the video, starting with an arrpegio and going with shredding..?

  • drop d???

  • What's your setup in this video?

  • @MrPsychoCrysis We are using a Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 and a Boss Metal Core Pedal.

  • @NstuffMusic Thanks bro! I really like this guitar! Sounds good!

  • Hey mate, I'm not sure if I should get this guitar or a Fender MIM Strat. They are both quite similar except for the humbuckers and single coils on the MIM

    Thanks.

  • @Umjetnik13 Just at the headstock...there are no fine tuners on the bridge

  • @NstuffMusic Most i play is Rock but i also play clean too.And metal....

So i am afraid of other guitars that are made in china and indonesia

Thats why i am looking for fender models.

So is fender for my style? :)

  • @sourceofflames This guitar is Mexican and it is fantastic!!!! IT is great for both styles of music. Maybe something hotter in the bridge if you are going really heavy.

I will say a lot of the import guitars are getting much better in quality.

  • @NstuffMusic Thank u so much!:))

    I decided:Blacktop Rulez :)

  • I am between Fender blacktop(ST) and ESP LTD FM-300 i can't decide.....

    Any Ideas??

  • @sourceofflames What kind of music are you playing...the ESP is definitely the more aggressive guitar. The Fender is a little more "Classic Rock" if you will.

  • awesome video! what amp are you guys using?

  • @EriksAnarchy512 It was a Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 with a Boss Metal Core pedal.

  • @AlexSassy ya fuck off

  • what pedal is that?

  • @Alcomable Boss Power Stack in stock at Nstuff music for $89.00

  • @Alcomable i think its the boss Power Stack

  • @Alcomable Boss Power Stack

  • @Alcomable I think it's plugged directly to the amp :)

  • @Alcomable sorry bout that, did not back read, this is sad, why put a pedal between? wanted to hear the direct sound

  • It is definitely not a heavy high output pick up, it gets a very nice tight, cleaner distortion or gritty tone. I think it would be great for cleaner sounds too.

  • Would this guitar play indie rock and more clear sounding songs, or is it mainly on the metal side? I'm into The Strokes/ Arctic monkeys... could I get that sound at a decent quality with this guitar?

  • @Kingofthecowsable haha fag

  • @AlexSassy "haha fag" Is that the best you could come up with, or do you have the brain length of a fly? I bet your results spelt FUDGE alright.

  • I got mine today in the black and I love it!

  • i've heard these are also available with maple fretboards? Is the rosewood inlay better than the maple and if so why?

  • @ImmaDwarfKicker They are available in maple fretboards as well. Rosewood is not better it's a personal preference thing. Maple wood is harder so it's a little brighter sounding and they have different cosmetic looks to them.

  • how are these pickups for shred/metal? I've tried doing some research on them but cant find much. Thanks

  • @geddprattlerxst They are overwound alnico pickups, so they can get as hairy as you need them to be!

  • Comment removed

  • I got the candy apple red one. Same neck. I love it! It's the most diverse guitar I've ever played.

  • @nstuffmusic do still you have this on blue or black? and how much for shipping to mante , tamaulipas, mexico zip code 89800

  • @robertomorales10994 Black and Candy Apple Red are the colors we have in right now. We would need your shipping info to give you an accurate shipping rate

  • @robertomorales10994 i would order from the factory in mexico if i were u

  • @memphismadnesstv i don't know how to do that, here in mexico , blacktop's are more expensive

  • I think this guitar would be perfect for all that. You have the nice and beefy humbucking sound in position 1,3 and 5, then in positions 2 and 4 you have more of the Stratty tones to get that funk clean thang. Great guitar!

  • i've been interested on this guitar to play some rock music also a little funk and blues.. do you recomend this guitar or a standard strat SSS for those styles

  • Jim Root from Stone Sour/Slipknot has a signature almost just like this except his is a flat black and has emgs in it and the tuners and bridge is diffrent.

  • Hey, i checked this out about a week ago, maybe less, and planned to buy it, I believe the price was $449 not sure on that one, what i was sure of is that after the coupon code you posted a page or two back it was down to $419. Which was perfect and i planned to buy it today, now it looks like its back to $499 and the coupon code isn't valid any longer? Its only been 4 days, any information on why the price changed? or am i missing something.

  • @TheDruxlol Fender raised the price that's why the price increase. Which Blacktop are you interested in if we have it in stock and doesn't have to be special ordered I will honor that $419.99 price for you. Let me know.

  • @NstuffMusic Hey thanks for the quick response, I was interested in the Blacktop Stratocaster HH, rosewood neck, in black. I believe the product number from your site is: ae00-13041. If you are able to that would be awesome, thanks again.

  • @TheDruxlol Here is the one time coupon code #33633780

  • @NstuffMusic Thanks a ton man, order placed and its on the way monday. You guys are awesome.

  • @NstuffMusic i want a coupon code too :(

  • @robertomorales10994 What color and fingerboard combination are you looking for?

  • @NstuffMusic Black color and rosewood neck

  • @robertomorales10994 I do not have Black with Rosewood fingerboard in stock. I could order it for you but it would be the new price of $454.99. I have a Candy Apple Red with Rosewood fingerboard in stock that I could do $419.99. I also have a Black with maple fingerboard that I could honor the old price of $419.99. Let me know what you want to do.

  • @NstuffMusic ooh well, then i choose black with maple fingerboard , how much will be for shipping to Tamaulipas mexico? i really want that guitar!

  • @robertomorales10994 The shipping on this guitar would be about $360.00. The guitar I would do $419.99 for you. Total $779.99. We only except bank transfer for out of state purchases if your still interested let me know.

  • what song was that at the end? and im looking for a more metal type tone and im wondering out of this or the jaguar which one is better

  • @TobbyGreen13 For metal I would go with the Strat.

  • What kind of guitar do you recommend to play Grunge? Blacktop Strat or Blacktop Jaguar??? I love them both! Its hard to decide!

  • @fubarthekow Well that's a tough question. It is all personal preference. The Jaguar definitely has the vibe for sure! The jaguar also has a little fuller tone because of the body size difference. But they both are great rock guitars no matter what style of music you play.

  • @NstuffMusic Thanx mon!!! So the Jag it is! Plus that's 1 of Kurt Cobain's fav guitars right??

  • @fubarthekow I prefer the Jaguar sound a little fuller. $419.99 at nstuffmusic with coupon code.

  • @NstuffMusic AWESOME!!!!!

  • what is the difference with HH-HSS-3x standard strat?

  • @SirEpik Those are the pickup configurations 2 humbuckers =HH Humbucker and 2 single coil =HSS and 3 single coil pickups =SSS.

  • God I want that guitar!!!!!!! I have an Epiphone Les Paul Special II and don't get me wrong I think its a very good beginner's guitar but I want to feel like the Kurdt x-D

  • Can you tell me please, what is the shape of the neck? Is it U, D, C, Modern C, V, soft V...? Radius is 9,5 right? Oddly it doesn't say on Fender's site.

  • @cthulhuinsamadhi It is a C shape but it has a glossy finish.

  • Do this guitar have mini humbuckers?

  • @Abon666 No they are regular sized humbuckers. $419.99 at nstuffmusic with coupon code.

  • By the way, nice riffs bro

  • I want to buy this axe if I have the penny, thx for the demo and explanations :)

  • which one is beteer this ,jackson dkmg or prs se custom 25 24

  • @NstuffMusic. Thanks

  • Where do you get a coupon code for Nstuff?

  • @TR3YTURNR Here is the coupon code: 33633730

  • Wich have better wood quality? The fender blacktop or the classic series?

  • I Am getting this guitar

  • @imSkyDylan 419.99 with coupon code at nstuffmusic.

  • @NstuffMusic Its Cheaper than I Thought but I think i`ll take it in my local stores...

  • It plays metal but does it play punk?

  • @imSkyDylan The Blacktop Strat is very versatile it can do metal and punk.

  • @NstuffMusic So It can do All genres...

  • @NstuffMusic OK Thnks But Can The Fender Standard Stratocaster Play Metal.?

  • @imSkyDylan Yes.

  • @imSkyDylan every guitar plays punk

  • @GrimReaper1305 Ok thanks..

  • @imSkyDylan Why are you people so dumb?! It's not the guitar that is able to play certain music or not. . . . . it's YOU!!!

  • its not me its my friend he said that one guitar can only play a specific genre... guess he was wrong...

  • Hi i have a question.

I like to play songs like Jimi Hendrix but i love to play Slash too.

    What i should buy ? H-H , H-S-S , or S-S-S ?

  • @ellbrek Personally I like the HSS set up it's the most versatile.

  • @NstuffMusic

    Thanks.

  • awesome guitarist

i hate blacktops humbuckers should not go in a strat i like a classic strat

  • @NstuffMusic good for blink 182?

  • @planthedamage23 Yes it would be great for the Blink 182 sound. $419.99 at NSTUFFMUSIC with coupon code.

  • hey i am thinking about getting one of these but i am not sure what to get, the blacktop strat or a gibson les paul junior. I like to play punk music like green day and blink 182, which one of them is the best for that sort of music?

  • @Danmacleod196 I would go with the Blacktop Strat more versatile and a better value.

  • @NstuffMusic alrite thanks :)

  • @Danmacleod196 i play an epiphone special 2 for punk but i would get a gibson melody maker sounds good for punk

  • @crimsoncarcas The 57 Classic is not as hot and bright it's a little smoother.

  • It could be great low-tuned... Great guitar, great guitarist... Yeah, i ´m going to order one :)

  • @GlockenspielSAS $419.99 with coupon code at nstuffmusic.

  • does it get a good grunge-y sound like nirvana? i mostly want it cuz it looks like kurts haha. and i like the humbuckers

  • @JakeThaSkater This guitar would be great for that.

  • @JakeThaSkater i was wondering the same thing

  • @JakeThaSkater Just get a Boss DS-1 and you get instant Nirvana. Kurt used a lot of guitars: Mustangs, Jazzmasters, Mosrites, his signature Jagstang and Strats fitted with Dimarzio Super DIstortions. All very different guitars that he got his crunch out of.

  • @JakeThaSkater The blacktop series is good because of the Bridge/Neck pickups have that darker sound. It is all a preference of what kind of body/tailpiece/bridge/scale you want with this series mostly. (Except that the Jazzmaster is a H/S compared to the rest of the guitars in the series which are H/H.)

  • @JakeThaSkater It'd be the shit.

  • Best Strat value around! Mexican pricing, but w/Alnico pickups (4-wire!) instead of muddy ceramic's. Very versatile. To approximate S/S/S Strat tone (w/tapped coils), get the maple fingerboard, which sounds brighter. Position 4 is NOT both outer coils, it's neck pup's north coil alone -- see specs on Fender's Website. The only mod this guitar needs is a bridge single-coil tap, if you want to play surf/twang. Also, the headstock's finish is gloss, which you might want to sand down to satin.

  • @underplayedybca FYI - Specs on Fenders site are not correct. Pos 4 is both pickups. Try it out and tap both pickups at positions 2 and 4, they are both active.

  • I just got mine today, is the bridge supposed to be floating above the body a little bit right out of the box?

  • @BattleCry100 Yes that's so you can get some vibrato out of the trem but if you set it against the body it will stay in tune better.

  • @NstuffMusic Thank You very much for the info!

  • can this huitar get the same sounds as fender sss ?

  • @iConverseMyLife The Blacktop does split to single coils but it does not sound exactly like a SSS strat.

  • @NstuffMusic thank you :)

  • Nice guitar, i'm rather keen on purchasing one. I wonder if it's the same as the one i've seen in stores here. It was a blacktop strat, but it had black (not chrome) pick-ups.

  • 0:54 ouch xd

  • So i would like to play Metal and Hard Rock so what Guitar is good for me? :)

  • @MrSuperMarijuana The Blacktop series is good for Metal and Rock.

  • @NstuffMusic So how much does it cost?

  • what type of shape is the neck, I mean the way is "c" or "u"?

  • Is this guitar better than an epiphone les paul standart???

  • @TheXtremeGamer90 They are pretty comparable. The would feel different that would be a personal preference.

  • @NstuffMusic I am a member of a rock band so i want a good guitar!

  • Do these blacktops sustain well? And would you prefer a strat or a tele

  • @mychalsean Yeah they sustain well. I like the Tele with the stop tail.

  • dude what song did you play at 2:19 ?

  • Please reply, this or the Jaguar? I can't decide =P

  • @jamesbullet55 The Strat will be a bit more versatile but the Jaguar has a fuller sound. Depends what style of music you play.

  • Damn I want this +_+ Hey man would this be a good guitar for punk? :D

  • @jamesbullet55 The Blacktop is good for any style.

  • I've been looking at adding a HH strat to my collection. Do you know if this has a large swimming pool routing. I'm also curious if there are any other dual humbucker strats out there that I should look into? Fender 2010 FSR Standard Stratocaster HH perhaps? Looks nice and sounds pretty good.

  • @joesl8 As far as Dual humbucking Strat's go this is the one.

  • OK, thanks, i´ll go for the blacktop tele then...

  • Is this the one that cost around $450.00, or a higher priced one? And where is it made, mexico maybe? I think it sounds great if it is. I would love to have this guitar. I've heard Gibson is kind of living on their name, but obviously Fender is stll making great instruments.

  • @usetheforce92 $419.99 at nstuffmusic and they are made in Mexico.

  • I mainly want to play stuff like Zeppelin, Tom Petty, Maybe some Ryan Adams type stuff. A little blues. Not into metal. Which of the 4 black top series guitars would you recommend? I only play a little drop d tuning. Mainly standard tuning and occasional learning new tunings. Do you have a better looking guitar knob that will match these guitars? I don't care for the big amp looking knobs. so ugly.

  • @CureRadio Well, Jimmy Page used a Telecaster almost exclusively on the first Zeppelin album, as well as for some later stuff, including the Stairway to Heaven solo. Search YouTube for "communication breakdown danmarks" to see his Telecaster.

But if you don't feel more drawn to one guitar than the others, you should just go to the guitar store and try all four. See how they sound and feel in person.
