everything you need is a set that has at least a snare, 1 tom, 1 floortom, and a bassdrum. as for cymbals 2 crashes would be nice, but 1 should do. definitely a ride. and just for nice effects a china. splashes are officially on th record, but not a MUST. and yes, its really easy

hmm that surprises me actually. the tom setup is called 'off-set', which means they're not right above the bassdrum, but in front of you, like i have. a lot of peopel nowadays have it. teh drummer that at the time got me into it was lars ulrich from metallica.

I'm a self-taught musician. I'd suggest playa long with easy songs. or start with rudiments! i didn't do it, because i thought it was bullshit, but i regret nto doing it.
