thats wierd the prelude got the jump but lost? racing on a 1/8 mile my friends wrx would jump of the line about 2 cars lengths. then i allways closed the gap to less than 1/2 a car length, but never beat him. mph on the slips were allways about 75mph for the wrx and 90mph for my prelude

@titogcubangonzalez 97+ Honda Prelude SH came with H22 that did 0-60 in 7.2 second. I don't know if that's the all wheel drive version(rare) or the front wheel drive version though.
@vietdude1979 the h22 can reach 0-60 in less than 7 seconds, go to Motor Week and look up prelude, they do a road test on a 1997 prelude h22 and they were able to get it to 60 in 6.5 secs I believe.

@bluemk3supra there is a reason there is a thing called a power band, and its not necessarily different power in the gears its different gearing changine the power, for instance. my 3rd gear is shorter than my second gear, so my 3rd gear revs faster than my second gear and because of this transfers more torque than my second gear, there for my power band is and begins in my third gear.

@bluemk3supra there is a reason there is a thing called a power band, and its not necessarily different power in the gears its different gearing changine the power, for instance. my 3rd gear is shorter than my second gear, so my 3rd gear revs faster than my second gear and because of this transfers more torque than my second gear, there for my power band is and begins in my third gear.

@flskim906 All depends how much money you invest in the car man...My friend has a s2000 with a lot of suspension mods but power adders he only has a intake and full header back exhaust...I have a wrx that has suspension mods as well as a lot of power adders and I rape him every time but that is to be expected it all depends on where you put you're money and who has more money to invest...I think both cars are beautiful though and both can be very fast.

I'm willing to bet that guy didn't have a h22 because I have a 92 prelude with a jdm h23 vtec and I can almost keep up with wrx's. Don't get me wrong, wrx's are fast, I've seen a wrx with 1400whp 0-60 in 1.8sec. I've also seen 4cyl hondas just as fast though. That guy has either a stock h23 dohc non vtec or a f22 sohc non vtec, or the guy can't drive for shit.
