It's nice to see magic done with a bit of charm, you know what I mean? There's so many magicians who think magic is a substitute for personality and it makes their tricks painful to watch, irrespective of skill.

It's so true. Tommy Wonder is just about the most relaxed performer, and always the most fun to watch, because of how he is able to get everyone to share the interest in what is happening. He is really laid-back, which makes the whole audience comfortable and relaxed, and that adds not only to the atmosphere, but also to the experience as a whole.
Tommy Wonder was truly a legend.

Exactly - that's exactly it. Even with this awful audience he just glides through this routine with a very gentle charm. Most magicians would do extremely well to learn from him (and Eugene Burger) when it comes to presentation. Because that's really all there is to it.
