No, I will not be giving my financial support to individuals who feel that the best way to stop animal cruelty is to break into buildings and destroy research equipment and facilities and "liberate" property.

One act of criminal action does not deserve yet another. If you continue to stand with criminals, you will be found guilty by association.

Very important point he made: that we need to stand together. We may have differences in our politics and our strategies, but we all want a world without oppression. I may not agree with, for instance, a lot of what PETA does, but I think most of the people there (and certainly Newkirk) want the same thing I want: abolition of animal exploitation industries. We need to stop letting "them" (government, industry, etc.) divide us. It's a tactic to get us to forget who/what our real enemies are.
