  • Your hair looks so nice after the beer rinse. But I do have one concern that the alcohol dries out the ends. Does anyone know if this a legitimate concern?

  • @rapunzel19611 - It's been 5 days now and I haven't noticed any ill effects.

  • I think my boyfriend would hate me if I used his tetleys on my hair :( asda smart price it is!

  • @buterscotchpudd - I have much the same thought. Make sure it's low in alcohol volume, though.

  • Absolutely lovely! And you can totally see how shiny your hair is! It would be interesting to keep a sort of log comparing beer and what works best- dark vs ale, etc.

  • @lerchskat - I tried a bitter from the supermarket today (99p for 4 cans) and it seems to have worked just as well. Bombadiers, it turns out, is an ale. The person who recommended this to me said their friend swore by Guinness.

  • Does it still smell? I heard that dried beer doesnt smell, and I saw another youtuber using a little in her hair, without rinsing it, to hold braid curls better. Maybe you can try that.

  • @droomprinsesje1234 - I rinsed thoroughly and I certainly haven't noticed any smell today (I did the rinse last night). I think that if I didn't rinse it out, using it to hold braid curls for example, I would definately smell boozey ;0) Probably not good for me as I work in the retail industry! I don't want my customers telling my manager I smell of alcohol.
