what does mma stand for mixed martial arts so what ever works you use it karate kung fu judo jujitsu boxing most fighters in mma master at least one style you got boxers who are good with the stand up and judo/jujitsu fighters who are good on the ground
oh god MMA fighters would murder kung fu fighters, anyone who disagrees feel free to start the pointless argument with me, sorry im fed up with people thinking a single martial art is better than MMA
@pballa4life55 do you notice your THE ONLY ONE stating that a kung fu fighter would lose to an mma fighter, cause everyone else knows its not true. there are no groin shots and strikes to the throat, or nerve shots in mma cause its a REGULATED SPORT, not meant to defend yourself but to win a contest. get your facts straight before making a fool out of yourself
@josh1212121 THE ONLY ONE out of the 40 people who commented on this video, MMA fighters are completely aware and able to execute moves that are illegal inside the octagon in a street fight situation, MMA fighters are in better condition and have more effective moves and ways to win, for example, kung fu has no wrestling, no jiujitsu , and no judo, so in the crazy predicament where the kung fu fighter is winning on the feet, the MMA fighter could take the fight to the ground with ease and finish
@l2q jujitsu, judo, and wrestling are not in kung fu, a modified grappling form is but it has been proven ineffective by the gracies, UFC 1, and many other style based challenges
kung fu vs. mma is like saying basketball vs. football. their not the same. mma is a SPORT. kung fu is a deadly martial art meant to KILL PEOPLE. idiots need to realize this
@josh1212121 first of all, football is a sport too so your comparison is invalid, second of all, if a MMA fighter wanted to kill someone, he could kill them more efficiently than any kung fu technique
judging by your comments i can easily tell you know nothing about kung fu. i only said it is like basketball vs football cause their DIFFERENT sports, just like how mma is VERY different from kung fu. kung fu is not a sport, you would know this if you actually took it up. it is an art designed to KILL your opponent. the things you learn in kung fu isn't grappling with your opponent and exchanging strikes with him.
@josh1212121 im well aware of the techniques and styles of kung fu and their capabilities, during the civil war in china years ago it proved to be a vital self defense for many people in hand to hand combat situations, kung fu made its mark in china, but, like any invention or idea, martial arts have been rethought and reinvented to form a much more complete and effective martial art in MMA. furthermore, jiujitsu can kill your opponent simply by applying a choke or strangle after they fallasleep
I prefer my omelette like this: Kung Fu's speed, Boxing's punches, Capueira's kicks and Muay Thai's knees and elbows. Tasty. =)
Nothing is the end all be all, they all have strengths and weaknesses, they all have different applications, reasons, philosophies, training, so on and so forth.
This so called "debate" = "I like blue, so blue is better than red".
MMA is a sport, notice how there are no joint breaks or dislocations, eye gouging, or throat cuts/ crushing. Kung fu has all of those, while in ln the MMA all of that is illegal cause its "unfair" and "too dangerous" Kung fu i believe is derived from Wushu which was an art of war, which is meant to kill people, MMA is as i said, just a sport, if all the rules of kung fu and all the rules of MMA allowed to be applied in one match. MMA would lose
@MrSkittlesauce Wushu is an exhibition sport, like the "ballet" version of martial arts. It's all show and fancy maneuvers. MMA would lose??? Give me a break....here you go tough guy. Two Kung Fu masters getting their asses handed to them because they lack ground game/grappling:
@tinian33 kung fu wouldnt lose. a quick strike to the groin, topple the opponent with some rapid strikes to the solar plexus then finish with a dislocation. seeing as how kung fu has applications that are meant to injur someone to the point where they cant fight back. in mma its illegal. if kung fu lacks ground game. mma lacks precision and proper technique
@MrSkittlesauce what do u mean "IF" kung fu lacks ground game... it does lack ground game therefore it is a partial art and all this fantastic bullshit about hittin him in the groin then solarplexus then dislocation shows uve been training kung fu against people that dont fight back... in a real fight ud go for the crotch and then the guy wud punch u and there is absolutely no kung fu fighter that can take a punch cuz they never train real combat
@figgywurmack actually they do all the time, its called full contact sparring, judging from your stupidity as of late it seems you've never heard of it. not only that, many hard style traditional kung fu styles train your body to take ANY hi, even to the groin, its called iron body, and iron fist training strengthens your fist to deliver punches that alone can break your opponents bones. Shaolin Monk vs. the worlds toughest MMA fighter, im pretty sure mma loses.
@MrSkittlesauce so why hasnt any shoalin monk fought one? look u can talk all the shit u want at the end of the day theyre afraid because they know theyll lose so they talk shit about it being against their beliefs.... show me a video of monks doing anything full contact.... them videos dont exist because monks dont do full contact sparring
@Dimitri0809 u cant compare 1 martial art vs mma some mma fighters use kung fu, for my self i choose jiu jitsu, muay thai, and boxing, but thats me, not everyone holds the same decision
Beautiful video, thought my Martial arts school focuses very much on fitness and sparring, also blocks do work in full speed. Also MMA fighters are very strong and durable, but I feel like you they rely on powering through one another. Though in my opinion martial arts like Kung fu and Karate also rely a little to much on speed and weak points at times. In the end no cage match tells anything, so it may remain a mystery! And like you said, in the end it is not the style as much as the person.
You fight the way you train... If you fight in a ring and Tap Out then thats how you will react..... Kung Fu trains to Kill or mame.. MMA trains not to hit to the groin when Kung Fu hits there first 9 times outta 10....
@Wildonechad69 i do kung fu, and if someone came to attack you better bet i will do anything to get myself out without getting hurt, if that means hitting for the groin then neck then so be it, he should not have picked me to fight with, but if i was in a comp like mma then i would not go for the groin, or try to kill
oh and mma guys they use force to power through, thats an easy weakness to be exploited, as they charge side step go for groin etc, easy done, my wing chun, spend three weeks training guys to go on mma and the went, and they nearly beat these year trained athlete mma dudes, one thing happened and the guy chickened out and thats why they did not win! if he did not get scared the mma dudes would have been pwned
@l2q ok im totally mixed up here, its wrestling its so lame and fake (the one im thinking of the guys are huge), i was thinking ufc was wreslting, its TNA im thinking about
You're an idiot kid; grow the fuck up. You don't know what you're talking about.

@pballa4life55 i disagree on one part
juitisu/judo/grappling, that is in kung fu, those martial arts are jus better suited for mma, an easier to grasp for cage fighting

@sh9683 i know dave benetau was on steroids lol

if mma took the conditioning skills an then the kung fu philosophy we would have some BEAST fighters
