They seem to have lost their way completely. Every trace of clever writing is now gone. All that is left are cheap "shockers" (homeless people banging under the boardwalk), some puking and an increasingly unfunny Danny Devito. I would say that right now the show is completely unrecognizable. It used to be lowbrow humor in a clever way - now it's lowbrow in the worst possible meaning of the word. I hope it gets better before the seasons finale, but it seems to me that they've lost it completely.
