elle est raide la voile ! trop fort le commentaire ! le mec est pas encore au sol et il s'inquiète pour la voile! C'est vraiment une grosse merde ce gars!
Why is he flying near ski lift cables? Er... because you can use the ski lift to get back up to the launch point? Kind of obvious if you think about it for a second. People fly around ski lift cables ALL the time, as anyone who's ever been to a ski resort could tell you.
@SonOfRojBlake I think we worked that out for ourselves - the question was why was he flying near cables when he had teh whole sky to chose from DOH!!
Looks like he fell to the right, so he may have instinctinvely lowered his right arm, otherwise perhaps the wing would have opened straight (then what)!
Great wind direction there, good call to go flying. Lucky he didn't rip his head off on that pole...Great response from his buddies, I mean lack of response.......
I got caught in rotors once. Not fun. Got blown over a ridge. Speed bar jammed. Got a 70% asymin 125 feet above the trees on the lee side. Caught it just before crashing into the trees. Left side of my wing snagged a branch. Flying through the trees upside down and backwards then slamming into the trunk of a tree is not my preferred landing method. Didn't get hurt bad. 4 hours hiking out though. I thought the bugs were going to finish me off.
Flying that close to the wires is not a good idea you know :) No need to mention about the lee-side rotors, too :)
An old crash vid, I hope the pilot was ok after that one

Honestly this is why I like my wings to be firm.

Why is he flying near powerlines anyway?
hrford 3 years ago
They don't look like powerlines, they look like ski-lift cables.

ok, Why is he flying near Ski-lift cables? Any dodgy cables in the air are probably not beneficial to flying :S

Hello Everybody.
Maybe strong wind.
Anyway always keep strong karabiner....
Good Fly
Negativespin1 3 years ago
Not so much strong wind, just lee side rotor. Karabinas are rated to 24Kn anyway, thats 5000Lb of shock loading... they aint going to fail.

Getting hung up saved him a nasty impact! Another lucky guy! It looks like he will be fine thought.
