So, do you use a normal pen to ink in your drawings? Or is there a certain type you use? I was wondering because markers tend to smudge ink when you go over it...I feel lame because I'm so uneducated about art stuff even though my life practically revolves around it, hahahaha.

Das ist ein wirklich tolles Tutorial. Ich arbeite selbst mit Copics, allerdings im Stil der Pop Art. Daher hatte ich bisher noch nicht die Gelegenheit mich an Schattierungen zu probieren. Dein Clip macht einem echt Lust dazu.

Vorallem weil du eine sehr angenehme 'Handschrift' hast.

Schade nur, dass die Bildqualität des Clips so unzureichend ist.

No, they don't as long as you don't let the color dry too much. If the surface is still moist when you color back over it, the result will be very smooth and even.

4. the copic "hell" and "dunkel" E51 is the same color.. normaly.. but I have to copic markers from this color, one copic too E51 and one copic ciao E51 and the "dunkel" one is much darker as the other one XD don't no why ^^"" but I have that on a few other colors too <_<""

5. I'm drawing with copics since I'm 14 :D and now I'm 22 xD

6. Normaly I use a few of this colors for skin: E50,E51,E21,E11,E41,BV31,B60

Beautiful tutorial! This'll help me color my pictures of my characters. I don't have Photoshop like everyone else, but... @minniekawaii47 The markers are the copic marker set which has everything you need for flesh tone and highlights, they are all labelled and number on the bottome of the pens. You can find them on ebay!

Those look like Copic markers. I'm not sure where you can get them cause i cant find them at any of my local stores. But you can get them on the Copic website, but be warned their pricey. Not sure what the highlighter marker is.

Nice work,. I usually make a color copy of my inked drawing, the color copy paper is nice, and the makers work very well on it. I'll use prisma color pencils to keep the inks in place, it also makes the blending/shading turn out nice. Then I'll throw it in my computer and play around with the contrast/color adjustments, add a slight blur and it looks awesome ^_^

for copic markers, people suggest to use thin white paper, because if the paper is too thick, it will take a while for it to dry because copic markers are really runnyish!~ //_^

eh' i dont think so. i experienced with copic, medium will do. but not to thick will sketch cause ther get a little streaky on too thick paper with too smooth of a texture.

copic markers are used for coloration.

the red signs show the type of color that is used. E50 is a color on the copic marker color chart and so are the other numbers.
