The comment below is completely idiotic. John Edwards was fighting for poor workers (in fact, I attended a rally where he spoke out for hotel housekeepers in Los Angeles 3 years ago) before his wife was diagnosed as terminal and before Obama even announced his candidacy. He is a man who is clearly impassioned by the causes he is fighting for and refuses to give up on them despite the obstacles.
John Edwards has a very sick wife (cancer) and young kids : why is he now running for President? He needs to explain why the USA needs him more than his own family??!!He looks desperate and ego-driven. With his millions, what is the true story and motivation of this guy?
Yes, I do, as a matter of fact. How about full government coverage of all american residents, and criminally prosecuting all those vile compainies for hundreds of counts of fraud and first-degree murder? As oppossed to making sure everyone is "covered" by companies that won't cover anyone when they actually need it. And it also doesn't solve the problem of (get sick=lose job=lose coverage=lose life)
John Edwards is the only candidate with detailed, economically feasible, responsible policies. Last time we didn't ask for policy, we got George W. Bush.
No one will say that they won't help the poor. Not even George Bush. But if they aren't willing to fight for us, there's a good chance that we'll end up losing. We have to fight big business in this country. If you don't understand economics, read about John Maynard Keyes and the Great Depression and begin to look at the parallels.

The only difference between Kucinich and Edwards is that Edwards will offer us each THE CHOICE of picking federally-funded healthcare or staying with our present insurers. Thus, those who still keep bitching about "socialized medicine" can CHOOSE to keep getting screwed over by their insurance companies and won't have anyone else to blame but themselves.

As far as I know, "federally funded", in this case, means feeding directly the "friendly" insurance companies... thought I'll be glad to check your sources.
Kucinich is for non-for-profit healthcare system (the British model), that's totally different.
As for Gravel, I want to know where the hell he pulled that funding from Humana statistic from before I even think about buying it.
And though Gravel does have an article in hand in the other video, I still think he's making a dangerous assumption that just because someone's donating more than $500 that they're from Wall Street. He offers no basis for that conclusion.

His plan for getting his plan through is great. It's hilarious and ironic, and effective. Unfortunatley, the actuall plan sucks.

How does the plan suck, exactly? Do you have a better idea?

Edwards is the smartest and most down to earth of the candidates. I am going to support him in my primary.
