i've got a question: is it possible that you would upload howto of it into other, less restrictive websites and link it here (or just send me a private message or something)?
Sorry but the batteries have to be wired in series to gain 18 Vdc, if they are wired in parallel you get 9VDC but increased current, Parallel higher current, Series higher voltage. wanna see my degree in electronics engineering or just a PDF of a simple electronics primer ...
I've got a great idea! Create a private video exactly how to create one of theese and send the video to me or a download link in the description of a video! It would be so amazingly nice and thank'sfuly, really! Or make one, tell me the prize ship it il pay you the doubled ;S
So im new to this so does the wire from the safety switch go to the batterys and light then from the safety switch to the button then the button to the alligator clips ?
Um, I don't know much about electronics and circuits, so do I need a special type of wire or anything and could I get these at a normal hardware store? Thanks!
When your wire is connected to the components in the box, are they soldered on, or how did you make the connections (including the batteries)? Also since there are 2 terminals on the switches, is the one wire run through both terminals? Or am I not reading the schematic right? Sorry if the questions are stupid or redundant.
@elwayfan101 If you make one today, then that should cost about $20. (so this video wont be removed, but this comment will, i will explain what i saw in this video ( -output wire - end of battery and - light, + end to - end, + end switch, switch secondary button and + light. secondary button other end to + output wire) just follow step by step and it should make sense
@ChuKoNu1 Hey, I was curious as to how long the batteries last? I'm using a 34 gauge wire to bridge and create heat to light a match. I don't have black powder since I don't have access to sulfur. I'm getting about 6 or 7 'launches' before the batteries no longer work. I'm noticing that a 9V battery can heat the wire, but weak batteries pushing 16V cannot. Any ideas?
@xXLoVeRandHaTeRXx Look dipshit, two batteries in series will give you the sum of the voltage but the current will remain the same. Two batteries in parallel will give you the sum of the current but the voltage will remain the same.
like the simplicity of the set up. Could you please tell us where you got the different components (hobby box, indicator light, and toggle switch with cover) so that I don't have to search all over the internet. Thanks

made a similar launcher, it had indicators for power and continuity through the igniter. You can use a TIP 120 and a separate low voltage current through the wires to get the indicator to light without actually firing igniter.
When it was armed and you pushed the fire button it started to discharge a cap which sounded a siren for a second or two, after cap dumped completely it closed a transistor and fired the igniter.
had banana clips for removing launch wires, and a charge plug for the nicads
I made one just like this but I wired in a buzzer in series with my LED so you got an audible alert as well as a visual alert when the safety switch was flipped.
i am really interested in this kind of stuff, but iam new to this. can anyone tell me a good place to learn about the basic things like pulse, parellel wiring, positive negative currents and stuff,
on your schematics video is shows that you connect the indicator lamp to the toggle switch, the push button and then back to the battery........ how would i..accomplish this?
Hi, great vid, very explanatory, do you know what distance wire can be used maximum and still maintain enough power to ignite one of your xmas bulb ignitors?
@ChuKoNu1 The one where I complimented you on the nice vid and system you made and that people shouldn't complain about it even though you say 'whatever' a lot and don't really know about series vs parallel parts of a circuit. That comment..
Okay I have bought all the stuff that you mentioned I drilled the holes to fit everything in. Now I need help connecting everything together. I never knew how to connect electric stuff up, so I really don't know what to connect. Could you by chance help, or post a vid so where else, thanks
This video is great. Think that you could show me how you wired it? I am not good with electronics, and you stated that anyone could do it. Would you either make another video of you wiring one, or even do a drawing?
If it's not to much trouble I would appreciate if u posted the wiring schematic cuz Im building a very similar design to yurs and It might b helpful thanks
When you describe the wiring as 'parallel', I think you really mean series. All your components are wired in series. If they were wired in parallel, your toggle switch and momentary switch would put power to the igniter, your lamp would always be on while the circuit is hooked up.
@ChuKoNu1 Your schematic describes a series circuit. The only thing 'parallel' about it is the momentary switch and the lamp connect to the same switch.
Think of it this way: You need to activate a series of switches to get power to the ignition leads.
In a parallel array of switches, any one of them would activate the ignition leads.
@TheGilfred "OH HEY I HAVE A GREAT FUCKING IDEA, HOW ABOUT INSTEAD OF USING MY EYES TO FIND THE SCHEMATIC THAT I'M LOOKING FOR, I'LL BOTHER SOMEONE ELSE TO FIND IT FOR ME EVEN THOUGH ITS RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE. @ChuKoNu1 You said you didn't have a schematic in the video, SO WHY THE FUCK WOULD I SEARCH FOR IT? I just saw somewhere in the comments to look at the schematics, and I thought "Schematics? He said there weren't any" That's why i asked. If you don't want to answer questions, don't tell people to ask them.
@TheGilfred You're right, sorry. I'm just so goddamn sick of all of these douchebags that constantly bombard me with the same questions over and over again, and I'm the one who gets bashed because those dicks always seem to believe that they know more about my ignition system than I do.

hahahahah!XD he made me laugh when he turned the switch on and off the switch repeatedly and he said sorry hahahahahaha!XD but overall, it is a nice instructional video haha!XD
Are the batteries in series? I'm just wondering? Coz in series Vt = v1 + v2 + ....... vn so I'm guessing that the battery was placed series and the circuit was parallel so it must be a series-parallel circuit.

Are the batteries in series? I'm just wondering? Coz in series Vt = v1 + v2 + ....... vn so I'm guessing that the battery was placed series and the circuit was parallel so it must be a series-parallel circuit.
