@bensometh i disagree with you, I believe the song reached some of us at a spiritual level. They are anything but bad musicians, if you want to see bad musicians i suggest you listen to todays pop stars. If not then here is a beautiful example of black metal that clearly shows that not all black metal bands are "talentless".

NB went on without it's two precious members, Hupogrammos and Sol Faur. So from the original formula only the drummer kept going on with NB... and well, you have to be extremely stupid to think that the drummer had EVER composed anything for the previous NB albums... c'mon, people, all the vocals, guitars, keyboards, traditional instruments, lyrics& so on were made by the two who left the band. Does anyone dare to think that the new NB has ANYTHING to do with the old NB??? Think, people, THINK!

@bensometh i dont give a damn about their inner quarrels or glories of the past, all i care about is music. It doesnt matter to me exactly who wrote what. If Dordeduh proves to be better on their own then more power to them! I'll follow! So far i havent been that impressed. There's been too much fuss around the 2 members who left, i hope they can live up to all the drama with a high quality FULL album. So far NB has been doing just fine without, but let's see what Dordeduh got up their sleeves.

@PAGANRoots: it seems superficiality is a common attitude when dealing with art, generally speaking. Sorry but I cannot separate the artist, his/her work and his/her own life. A cathartic experience cannot be fulfilled IN SPITE of something. I saw concerts with both NB (after the split) and Dordeduh and there's no comparison, you can immediately distinguish who's for real and who's just a copy cat.

@bensometh Hmm... i don't know... i don't think we have a "Sepultura Situation" here. I mean... after the split, the band still sounds amazing! Damn, Virstele Pamintului was one of the best albums in 2010. They're still sounding like Negura Bunget and they are still making GREAT music!

So, I don't know, who composed the new songs BUT they are as good as the old ones! Some are even better! And well... if we talk about the music... I have still the feeling that this is Negura Bunget!

@Archetype69 I happen to be Romanian and of course I understand their lyrics... which are crappy now, unfortunately. Also: I wonder how one could say that "Varstele Pamantului" is a great album considering the way it is performed. Composition-wise it might be not as bad as many expected (I admit I was pleasantly surprised) but one can perfectly hear they are bad musicians.

Cauta Cunoasterea tacuta sau Hora soarelui cantata de Dordeduh in Bucuresti pe 24 ianuarie.

Chiar daca filmarea are o calitate super proasta tot se descurca mai bine decat Negura Bunget in formula noua.

Chiar sunt curios in ce hal ar distruge piesele de pe 'N Crugu Bradului....

Intr-adevar, nu suna ca inainte, dar este tare greu sa niste canti niste piese extrem de complexe pe care nu le-ai compus tu si pe care trebuie sa le inveti intr-un timp relativ scurt. Eu zic ca cel mai bine sa ii judecam dupa interpretarea pieselor noi, compuse in formula noua. Iar "Pamantul" mi se pare foarte bine interpretata

Eu nu am nimic de comentat asupra pieselor noi, DAR piesele vechi cantate in formula noua parca sunt niste cover-uri extrem de nereusite.

Practica asta este Negura Bunget acuma cand canta piesele vechi, o trupa de coveruri si nimic mai mult.

Asteapta sa vezi cum suna Hora Soarelui live in formula noua, filmarea de la Dordeduh a piesei respective nu are calitate de sunet buna si culmea ca tot suna mai bine ca astia.

Am fost la concert la Dordeduh, asa cum ma asteptam, e super. Oricum, personal ma feresc sa fac comparatii intre trupe si incerc sa ma bucur de muzica, pentru mine ambele trupe fac parte din aceeasi familie, a celor care stiu ce inseamna muzica

@lixithebest Adevarat. Dar asta depinde si de individ si etica. Uite un exemplu: ai 3 piloni stabili la baza si iei 2 dintre ei. Ce se intampla? Se duce totul jos. Cam asa se poate interpreta si situatia de fata. Negura Bunget ai vazut live in formula actuala? Eu am observat ca atunci cand ii fugea vocea la Corb intervenea Ageru peste el, defapt mai mult el facea vocalul la piese nu Corb.

I don't get it, I checked the tracklist of Maiestrit, and all I saw were track-titles from Maiastru Sfetnic,as it's supposed to be some kind of re-interpretation. No sign of Pamantul :\

Maiestrit is the rerecording of Maiastru Sfetnic. Their new album is called Varstele Pamantului.

The main idea is that Cunoasterea tacuta, that starts @ 6:08 its not that great, nowhere near the old Negura Bunget. Still, in my opinion the new song from 3:00 is really great. Maybe in time they'll get better. (the tours will help)
