  • Cool! I did this about a year after you, poor Bob had to keep stopping to sit down and it was pouring rain. Sad to see you didn't explore that old creepy house in the woods :P

  • Is that a tour?

  • Whats the name of the song? I know the artist, but not the song.

  • what are all you idiots talking about?!!!??!! The music kicks ass!! Im a guitar player and it rocks...u morons dont know what ur talking about!

  • this is so funny because we used to enter alot of emergency exits and smash all these trains with graff. now you people are on some kind of documentry mission,,, haha i would have LOVED to see you down there in the mid to late 80's,,,, you would have left there minus you camera equipment and valuables....

  • TURDS

  • Turn the music off

  • Ya who cares what the music is, i would like to here about the tunnel, Another good video all screwed up by stupid noise, that i sure as hell wouldnt even call music.

  • Once again crap music smothers the real story and sound

  • camera work and editing make it near impossible to see shit and the music is fucking terrible

  • TMNT's home lol

  • been in da vats in SF & tunnels where I live now....lived in caves....now just in a boring ol house, ty

  • LAME! You didn't even talk to anybody down there. YOU RAN YOUR OWN LIGHTS! I guess you're afraid of the dark. How long were you down there? Five minutes?

All in all, LAME HIPSTER BS.

  • Yea the real way to discovery the world below is to go prepared and with a team.

  • big rats and alligators oh my

  • did you find my crocodile?

  • These guys are definitely liberals!!

  • @vwbigchris ya think

  • .......... XD

  • nice i should check it out how much is the entrance

  • omg scarry

  • XD That's kool

  • Awesome tour! Such possibilities!

  • I've toured the Atlantic Avenue tunnel, probably on this very same tour. I was prepared to climb down into a dark, damp, dirty, sometimes confining hole in the ground and wore some protective clothing and boots. I was quite surprised to see several people show up with bare arms, short pants and sandals, seemingly unprepared for the experience.

  • Hipster tunnel tour. Oh yay.

  • @mwadevilg

You could almost say they're... underground.

  • i live 2 blocks away from this

  • excellent music ...

  • fantastic!

Reminds me of the old "HELLFIRE CLUB" in the old meat packing district of manhattan! on ninth ave below 14th street.

An old underground vault that was beneth the street and was used as a sex club for years in the 90's.

    now its a fancy restaurent!

spent many a night underground in those old vaults!

  • WE love you erin!! oh, and morgan too!!! You too make an absolutely wonderful pair. You make the best vblogs on the net! every single one is different and unique. Grishno out sweetie!!!

  • That made me and Morgan both very happy!

  • Erin, what you do for the trans community (im trans as well mtf) could not be duplicated in the context you present it in, you have truly created something to be proud of, you are going to change MANY peoples lives with your incrediable gift. You will famous one day for your work one day, so fly the bird to all the haters and keep doing what you do best, be your self. Love you both!!!

  • @pizzaguy30 ooh I love you to! your so emo special it makes me wet like a stinky penguin in a ben gay love contest! seacrest out!

  • if they were to make an underground tunnel clubbing.. i will sure go there every day lol!

  • Thanks for posting this! I just went on the tour a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely incredible!

  • what is the music in the vid

  • The bands name is Cursive.

  • Now hold on there (geek alert). Come, come, SVP, to Marylebone Station on the Circle/Met line, a Londres.

Atlantic Avenue Tunnel (opened 3 Dec 1844) may be the oldest construction SUBSEQUENTLY incorporated into an underground railway.

But Brit pride bids me boast that the Metropolitan Railway (Paddington Station to Farringdon Street, opened 10 Jan 1863) is the first purpose built underground line.

x andrea, thinking of brief encounters, doomed but passionate.

  • ino people that live in the train tunnels.

  • there's an alien base under there....

  • cool

  • i would so go clubing down there

  • Good Vid.

Looks like a lot of fun.

Kind of sad there wasn't any turtles or giant albino allegators on show.

  • i bet it took a lot a balls to crawl down in that tunnel... or maybe not :)

  • Awesome choice on the Cursive song

  • where's the huge alligators????

  • Thats really cool.

  • the music sucks...

  • Cool tour.

  • i am so down for that kinda stuff, where do i sign the release forms.

  • Erin,

This tour looks fantastic! I hope one day when i travel back to the states to visit my family that I can take a tour of the tunnel as well. I am glad you and morgan had fun. I looked at their site and they wrote that people should not wear high-helled shoes. Most likely that means someone has! He he.

    Peace and Love,

    Diana

  • this is awesome!

  • i was missing you. thanks for the new vid!

  • thank you for giving us a taste of new york underground... tastes like... pickles =) how have you been hun? stacey

  • nice video, but the first subway tunnel (that actually formed a subway) was in London - this was just an ordinary tunnel that happened to go under a city, there were no stations etc

  • Actually, when this tunnel was first made it was specifically a train tunnel and included a train stop. Later one of the tracks was taken out and it served as a rail tunnel/road.

  • I was actually really jealous when I saw this I am like omg I wish I could of done this. very cool :)

  • Bob (NYC's Indiana Jones) enjoyed your video.

  • That is so neat! I wish I knew of that tour when I was in the city last month.

  • heyy, tat was an interesting video ~

    anyways, how have you been??

haven't chat with ya for the longest time :P

  • That was pretty awesome!! ^^

  • Cool...hey i wonder if thats where the idea for the Ghost train scene in Ghostbuster 2 was inspired??

  • wow, i'm there pretty much every day and i never knew that's what it looked like under there. haha awesome

  • This video is really interesting! Thanks for it!

  • wow, cool

  • Interesting. That is something new. ^,..,^ looked fun too. I hope you did.

  • Did you find Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton? Is my reference too obscure for younger viewers?

  • Thanks for sharing the tour. Keep looking for other odd tours. Its great that organizations make such things available even if it reveals some embarrassing facts. I like visiting abandoned sites where underground test explosions were once conducted.

  • How the hell do you loose a tunnel?

  • Did y'all do a head count to make sure as many people got out as went in? C'mon!! Everyone knows there's alligators down there and C.H.U.D., Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers!! AAARRRRRRGGGHHHH...

    ...too much?

  • im sooo glad ur still posting vids and nice job

  • That's cool. And slightly random haha.

  • Cool!

  • wow , mad, freaky, cool, vid , do you every run out of great ideas , i hate you :-P

    hugs crissy

  • Thanks for rushing in where angels fear to tread. I always imagined that people are living there by choice or forced to by circumstance. Did you see any sign of squats? how many thousands of New yorkers sleep under the streets I wonder.

  • I would assume not too many, at least not in that tunnel, if tours happen on anything resembling a regular basis.

  • so the important question is obvs, did you see any teenaged mutant ninja turtles?

or adult ones for that matter?

  • I only saw one ninja turtle but he was messed up pretty badly... apparently the radiation from the sludge that originally mutated him had given him a rare form of flesh eating cancer... not a pretty site.

  • That's pretty cool!

  • I wanted to see the video but I'm getting a message saying that the video is no longer available

  • That's weird... I'm sure it is available because I'm watching it now. Strange though.

  • I've found out that's been happening a lot to me and others. Advice: just wait a few moments, and reload the page until it shows.

  • This happens more often lately, when you refresh the page again all seems to be working again.

Great vid Grishno! Always wanted to know what went on down there!!

  • It's for working me now, haha

  • Thats neet. I want to hear more updates about your healing prosses or something... how is everything going?!

  • Haha all in good time. But I will let you know that the stitches are out and that I'll be updating soon.

  • the video is pretty cool, looks like it can/should be a music video.

  • Thanks! I was having a lot of fun with the editing.

  • you looks healthy

  • Thanks????

  • that looks so cool.

  • Very cool. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Wow that was really interesting. The next time I go I am going to have to find a tour :)

  • And hang out with me... don't forget that.

  • Of course :)

  • It's cool they give guided tours of it. How muc is it to see it?

  • They do the tours once a month and it's $15. It's a really long tour so you're totally getting your moneys worth too.
