I found this awesome Miss Piggy ringtone! If you love the pig-frog romance, this is for you. Hit up amazon and search for "Deblume Miss Piggy"or type "Miss Piggy Deblume" into itunes ringtones on your iPhone.
@ihopper22 That's because Toto is being played by Foofoo, Piggy's little white poodle, who was an existing character. You may notice Foofoo is both a puppet and a real live dog in alternating shots. :D
The Muppets have done Wizard of Oz a few times, actually. The first one I remember is from Muppet Babies. Piggy was Dorothy. Kermit was the Scarecrow. Gonzo was the Tin Woodman. Fozzie was the Cowardly Lion. And I think Animal might have been the witch. Certain roles just seem to fit. Like Fozzie, who's a bundle of nerves himself, as the Cowardly Lion.
why cant i find any movies of Janice when she had a female voice actor? and LOL! "Tonight the part of Dorothy is played by ME!" "Im ready.." "Aawwhh..bummer" LOL!!!^^
They were all so cute! Scooter as the scarecrow! (Aw adorable) Gonzo as a tin man! ( ha ha ha perfect, right? ...and that dancing) Then you think it can't get any better and out comes Fozzie Bear swinging his tail (OMG Epic cuteness ).
And of course Piggy is always beautiful. I love her singing :@ )
@SenseOrSensibility Well, unlike that version, Mr. Henson was alive to oversee this one. Since the Wizard of Oz was one of his favorite movies, I suspect if he were alive during the 2005 version, it would have been different.
Yeah, that's crazy! It took me a few times watching it before I figured out which one was the real dog and which was the puppet! Why did they use a real dog in that scene anyway?
According the Muppet Wiki, it has been released on video in the UK by Palace, but it has yet to be released in the US. Disney could release it... (sings) if they only had the rights ;)
Rule #1: Always tell anyone involved with your production what with you plan to do with it AHEAD OF TIME. That way, nobody will get shocked with some of the creative or dramatic choices you've made.
Cause to be honest, Piggy would've gotten to have sung all of "Over the Rainbow" if Rowlf hadn't interrupted to express his surprise.
Well those songs are owned by Waner Bros/ Time Waner and the Muppets are now owned by Disney and the Muppets Wizard of Oz was a Disney production. So it's not hard to see why this wasn't included as a bonus feature, in Disney's mind it probably wasn't worth the trouble and I can see where their coming from.
scooter makes a great scarecrow

Why does she always say for sure and rory?
sahomai 1 year ago
@sahomai
Janice's catch phrases are "fer sure" and "rully". She's been saying that forever because she's supposed to be a valley girl.
ryhoyarbie 1 year ago 4
i had a feeling that gonzo was the tin man and fozzie as the lion, scooter really looks like the scarecrow i like it
cliffoneyted 2 years ago
@cliffoneyted this is close to the movie exept miss piggy was the witches and kermit was the scarecrow
TheZB17 1 year ago
@TheZB17: Yeah. It's like The Muppets were referencing Wicked with that one.

Yay! I was looking for this. Janice would've made a much better Dorothy than Piggy (I really hate Miss Piggy). Thanks!

One of my faves too, Janice! They'd love her in Oz, I'm sure. She could be friends with Scraps.

Ah come on, it's funny! XD That's the only reason they had Rowlf in the song at all!

If only they hadn't waited so long to do their Oz movie, we would have seen Scooter pwn as the Scarecrow, no offense Kermit.
JoelandtheBots 3 years ago 5
Yeah...I think Scooter would have made a great Scarecrow. But then, what part would Kermit play?
TheBritishGothic 3 years ago
He'd be the wizard :)
JoelandtheBots 3 years ago 2
Yep. That'd fit him pretty well ^^

No problem! Tonight the Part of Dorothy is played by ME!
I'm ready!
Oh Bummer. XD

Janice is so cute in the beginning!
ElectricShark 3 years ago
The sad part is, this montage was actually better than the 2005 "Muppets Wizard of Oz." I was actually disappointed in that.
But THIS is genius!
TheStoryWriter 3 years ago 3
Even worse is the "Muppets Wizard of Oz" DVD didn't include that video.
DELIVEREE 2 years ago
Yeah! I was so ticked off this wasn't included! It would've made a great bonus feature!

Miss Piggy: It's supposed to be like this. The colors will come in a minute.
