  • anti-commies league!!!

  • The Myanmar exile group, made up of former political prisoners, said authorities had recently informed the family of Win Shwe, 42, that he had died during interrogation in the central region of Sagaing. He & colleagues had been arrested on September 26, the first day of the crackdown.

  • wanna no what surprises me the msot. jsut like every situation. this has been happening for like 60 years. it took reporters from the UN getting shot then snuck on the news for people to find out. we need to do osmething in this country and zimbobwe

  • Truckloads of illegal timber cross the Myanmar border to sawmills in China, while markets along the Thai border openly sell bear paws, tiger skins and elephant tusks

  • Hundreds of political prisoners locked in a Myanmar police compound are facing squalid living conditions following a massive government crackdown on peaceful pro-democracy demonstrations staged in late September---BANGKOK, Thailand (CNN)

  • Nilar Thein -- a key leader in the Myanmar-based group '88 Generation -- reported at least 900 detainees are being held in Mohbyee police compound in the country's biggest city, Yangon

  • imprisoned 88 Generation members have described being kept in cramped conditions in small rooms, with some standing shoulder to shoulder, unable to lie down. Prisoners have also reported a lack of toilets, clean water and adequate food supplies.--CNN

  • Nilar Thein and other 88-Generation leaders and prominent activists are being hunted down by the regime and have retreated into hiding.

Some detainees have been locked up since Sept. 28, while others have been picked up as recently as Oct. 1.

  • Release Aung San Suu Kyi. Freedom to Burma!

  • The people who currently run Burma on this principle: if they are prepared to use enough unnecessary force - and do so - then they can rule forever.

History - and historical truth - is a result of the actions of people. Are we going to allow this idea to become true - that dictators fall not because they are inherently wrong, but because they didn't kill and terrify enough people? Will that historical truth be the legacy we pass on to our children?

  • The United States has gotten a bad image because of George Bush, but the true Americans welcome the Burmese refugees into America where they can stay for as long as they want or when Burma becomes Peaceful and a Democracy !!!!! Welcome to America! the American people (not the government) are very Compassionate !

  • You get my support all the way!

Free all the slaves of dictatorship!

Burmese, Tibetans, East Turkistanis, Chinese, North Koreans, Cambodians, Vietnamese, ...

  • it's sad when individuals can be sentenced and jailed so easily that our prisons are bursting with capacity but entire goverments who kill and rape in the thousands seem immune to prosecution of any kind. killing is killing even when call it something like war or capital punishment.

  • You are so right. Those government officials are BEYOND corrupt, above the law, ABUSERS of the system and mentally diseased. They are the people who deserve to be incarcerated, for life and treated the exact same way they have treated other wrongly imprisoned and tortured people.

  • i only hope one day there will be an organization that could send entire corrupt governments to jail. this can only be done with a unified world government, making our present governments act much like municipalities instead of principalities. the UN is too weak and headed in the wrong direction. No government should be above the law.

  • I do not think that with all the diplomatic support from Chinese and the money they dole out (its easy for them to buy a couple of goons in milirary garb than win over real leaders) it may well be another Rwanda or Darfur.

Why dont we start exposing these Burmese and Chinese diplomats (UN or otherwise) with cameras and Bullhorns and reverse their own "We have your pictures.. we'll get you"

  • If you could convince all the residents of Rangoon and the neighboring towns and cities

    to join, the better.

Convince all the relatives of the ordinary soldiers to join.

Remember, only the GENERALS are the enemy!

  • All sectors of the society should join the march.

Poor, rich, monks, mothers, teenagers, students, government employees, private businesses, ordinary soldiers, police, etc.

    should join.

March to the Generals houses and demand the

    restoration of FREEDOM for BURMA.

  • The 40 million of Burma should unite!

Let a million people to the streets of Rangoon.

Bring Flowers and food to be given to the ordinary soldiers.

Your enemy are the Junta generals. The ordinary soldiers can be befriended and join

the large group of the masses.

  • Fuck Hu Jintao and Than Shwe, the fucking couple in Asia!

The EVIL Chinese Communist, Hu Jintao, has vetoed any sanction against his parnter Than Shwe for committed genocide and killing of his own people!

Twin Saddam Hussein of the EAST!

  • Nobel peace prize winner 1984, Desmond Tutu:

  • Be positive!

Just imagine: We can make a change!

Don't wait for others to start, you go and just start.

The price of a pint, so little money, but if 100 or 1000 people give such small amounts, then at least with this money some change can come. Then keep your eyes open, your minds, be verbal, speak about this world, because at the moment it is going wrong. Let's fix it. We CAN do it!!

  • Hello :PRESIDENT OF USA MR BUSH PLEASE SEND YOUR ARMY TO MYANMAR TO HELP THEM!!!HELP!!!

BUSH:OH I SEE ! BUT ! IF THEY HAVE ANY OIL?IF DONT HAVE,I BETTER PUT MY ARMY IN IRAG!HE HE HE:-)

    :-( OH MY GOD! USA

  • FREEDOM TO BURMA NOW!!!

  • I am Chinese, even I feel disgusted at such a regime. How could they shoot at monks!!!!!!!!!!!!You westerners all gave hope to Chinese government. However, to tell you the truth, China has done a lot , but the army won't listen now.

  • Strength in numbers is right. The people have to know there will be a lot of casualties, possibly more than the 3000 before. I wonder whether just marching is the key I don't know enough. Now it's started surely the people can't stop. They have a goal and support is with them. If I can say something to the monks and the people, keep at it, for yourselves. There is more of u than of them.

  • fucking government!

  • your time is coming generals..

  • How did I miss this??? It is great!! I'll share it with my friends!1 5 superstars!

  • Sadly it's not known in most parts of the world.. >:(

  • What's worse is that, where it is known, not enough is being done to end it!

  • Yes, that is the saddest part of the whole story.. :(

  • Thanks enjoythevoyage for this video.

  • You are very welcome! It is an important one to see!

  • That's very kind of you. Thank you.

  • "How can authorities who are so afraid to grant basic democratic rights to people build or construct democracy." -Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (Secretary General, NLD)

  • Like many, I really did not understand the gravity of what has been going on in Burma, and for so long. I had no idea there were so many sick acts taking place. I was shocked to learn so much after I began reading up on it. So I took it upon myself to raise awareness to others. They are treated worse than animals. It's very sorrowful. These are our fellow human beings.

  • Yes these people need to be free but you should see NORTH KOREA! those people really need freedom from thier psycho leader Kim Jong Ill.

  • The difference is that the whole world knows about North Korea.. not many knows about Burma.. :(
