I have cats and he is the happiest cat I have seen in water he looks happy to me. Cats eat chicken so that basically is "proper food". cats do not go to Purina to get food. We have a cat door and have almost never had trouble with cats being killed by being able to go out. I have had 2 cats for 15 years and never had trouble with them before that we had cats too 1 got sick and died @ 5 the other lived over 17 years. I have 7 cats.....3 of which are SCARED to go outdoors, they would much rather watch everything out of a window instead. 2 of my cats are indoor and outdoor cats and the last 2 are strictly outdoor....they refuse to come inside! Feeding them meat like that isn't hurting them either.....indoor cats....especially males...need the wet meat food because its part of their natural diet! Well, I don't think you are killing your cat at all. Taking care of a special needs purebred cat shows you are a good owner. I killed two of my last three cats by keeping them indoors and feeding them the same dry food all their lives. Poor kitties, they were very happy but only lived 21 and 22 years. The third, and now only cat is 15 and still healthy. Call the ASPCA, we're both killing our cats!

If I tried bathing one of my cats even in an INCH of water I would be killing MYSELF the hell with the cats. I definitely think that cats are good pets! I love dogs just as much, but if you're looking for a pet that doesn't require as much energy and time, a cat is a good choice (just as long as you don't get a persian or himalayan like Melvin). And I always recommend visiting a shelter to see if you can find your new best friend there, dog or cat! Good luck. :)

I'm not trying to be mean or accusing, but taking care of a pet is a big responsibility, because it will be a member of your family for a very long time and you need to ask yourself if you're ready to take care of it. Haha. I'm a very big advocate for shelters. I also agree whole-heartedly that there should be some sort of monitoring on breeding (mainly so that animals as genetically unhealthy as Melvin don't exist). And being the proud owner of Melvin's sister, Zoey (who is a shelter cat), I can say that I have NOTHING against adopting and always tell people to consider adopting any animal before purchasing from a breeder.

I now have 2 cats,I have had cats all of my life, and now I find out I must be killing them also. In the summer I take my cats out everyday on leashes,I will not leave them run loose to fall victim to a car, a wild animal etc. I feed them raw meat recommended by my vet,and a good grade of cat food. They also like cooked fish. One of my cats also likes to play with a running faucet.
well, it seems I'm guilty of all those things. Owning a purebred, letting my cats outside, keeping them inside. bathing my cats. Feeding them the "wrong food". *sigh* I swear, some of these people who judge us on how we raise our furbabies have never owned one.
Well, so far, I've been killing my Nina in these ways for seven years and counting, and she's loved all of it except the nail trimmings (because I refuse to have her toe joints amputated (Ahem)have her declawed) Her Brofur Beau lasted 16 years, until he succumbed to intestinal cancer. Oh poor Melvin. He's so tortured. LOL . My parents have to keep mario instead. Its that or he's off and over the fence. We'll take our chances on keeping him cooped up.

I own 2 purebred Himalayans! I never was a cat person until I met this breed. I think Melvin is adorable and it shows that you give him nothing but love :)

Well, I don't think you are killing your cat at all. Taking care of a special needs purebred cat shows you are a good owner. I killed two of my last three cats by keeping them indoors and feeding them the same dry food all their lives. Poor kitties, they were very happy but only lived 21 and 22 years. The third, and now only cat is 15 and still healthy. Call the ASPCA, we're both killing our cats!

If I tried bathing one of my cats even in an INCH of water I would be killing MYSELF the hell with the cats. I draw the line at them drawing blood, they can smell like fritos for the rest of their lives I don't care lolol. One of my cats likes fruit and the other likes yogurt and pudding so I guess I'm killing mine too. I brush my kittehs too so I'm killing them

The big guy, he's a vegetarian, and loves licking apples and pears, loves eating bananas, soft vegetables, hard boiled eggs, water melons, olives...haha He's a strange one. Won't eat canned cat food, just the dry stuff. The two lil girls eat the canned stuff...God are they spoiled. >>
Mother does a good job of it too since one of the lil girls is on her lap ALL DAY LONG! We're horrible people.

I definitely think that cats are good pets! I love dogs just as much, but if you're looking for a pet that doesn't require as much energy and time, a cat is a good choice (just as long as you don't get a persian or himalayan like Melvin). And I always recommend visiting a shelter to see if you can find your new best friend there, dog or cat! Good luck. :)

Cats are wonderful pets, but make sure that you would be a good cat owner! I'm not trying to be mean or accusing, but taking care of a pet is a big responsibility, because it will be a member of your family for a very long time and you need to ask yourself if you're ready to take care of it. Be sure to "kill" your cat by giving it lots of attention, love, and patience, and you will have a best friend (and a good lap-warmer) for years to come.

I kill my cat all the time :(. Glad I saw this video lol. But I do think there should be breeding laws and yes shelter pets do need homes but so did Melvin lol. People hype up and hate on everything! I will see the cutest videos and think NO ONE can find anything wrong with it... scroll down and see TONS of horrible hate comments, I just don't get it. I've seen videos I did not like either, know what I did... CLICKED OFF OF IT XD lol!

Haha. I'm a very big advocate for shelters. I also agree whole-heartedly that there should be some sort of monitoring on breeding (mainly so that animals as genetically unhealthy as Melvin don't exist). And being the proud owner of Melvin's sister, Zoey (who is a shelter cat), I can say that I have NOTHING against adopting and always tell people to consider adopting any animal before purchasing from a breeder.

I now have 2 cats,I have had cats all of my life, and now I find out I must be killing them also. In the summer I take my cats out everyday on leashes,I will not leave them run loose to fall victim to a car, a wild animal etc. I feed them raw meat recommended by my vet,and a good grade of cat food. They also like cooked fish. One of my cats also likes to play with a running faucet.

well, it seems I'm guilty of all those things. Owning a purebred, letting my cats outside, keeping them inside. bathing my cats. Feeding them the "wrong food". *sigh* I swear, some of these people who judge us on how we raise our furbabies have never owned one.

Well, so far, I've been killing my Nina in these ways for seven years and counting, and she's loved all of it except the nail trimmings (because I refuse to have her toe joints amputated (Ahem)have her declawed) Her Brofur Beau lasted 16 years, until he succumbed to intestinal cancer.
