To those making decisions RE the sound quality of these cymbals- you DO realize that you're hearing this through a CAMERA mic, right? That means entire swaths of frequencies that are being produced are being lost because A) it's a camera mic, and B) it's been compressed for YouTube. Not having heard them in person, I can't comment, in fact, they may indeed suck balls, however in person they probably sound quite a bit different.......

A lot of people hate these cymbals, and not sure why ? I own a set, & love the hats & ride ! The crash cymbals are a bit darker sounding but I find them unique sounding in a sea of same old same old ! Don't discount these cymbals, for the price the ride & hats are hard to beat ! If your a hard hitter in a rock application you can't go wrong. Plus Zildjian stepped out of the box, at least give them credit for trying something new ! Just saying.

i've got the ride and the 15in hats. i'll admit the ride is somewhat less than ideal but those hats sound awesome when i get going, i really love the sound. will be getting a new ride though, for sure. only got it because it was dirt cheap (now i know why)

Can't be beat is just a phrase, There is no such thing as a true best because of how different drummers are from one and other. However, I must say that Zildjian grows near its 400th birthday and there's a good reason for that.

Grind off the paint and sand the crap out of them...then the rides actually sound good. I did this to mine and it now opens up, gets a good wash going and just looks better too.
