  • he is soooooooooo cute!!!!!

  • @vixen15986 Thanks. We get to hear it every day....... :)

  • Too Funny! Who is crazier? The birds or the people who talk to them? So cute.

  • @angelamariapreuss Unfair question! My bird would say I'm the crazy one! :) Thanks for watching.

  • He's practicing his pickup lines!

  • @TheMadameHannah He's out of luck then. Our other bird is a male parakeet..... :) Thanks for watching!

  • My cockatiel does the first two notes then rages

  • @NoverSuper That's not good! That's supposed to be a lullaby, not a grunge rage tune! :) Thanks for watching.

  • lovely bird!

  • @popcornium Thanks a lot. He has a great personality for a common grey. Quite a blabbermouth, too!

  • @winkiedoodles Thanks! Will try that, and see if it works. Seeing him dance is really priceless.

  • @winkiedoodles My tiel's name is Ollie, and he is almost 13 years old now. He's so beautiful. I don't have any vids, I do have plenty of pics, but every-time I get the camera out to videotape him, he freezes. It's like he knows...he's so smart... I'm going to have to try and set up a hidden camera....and try to out smart him...;)

  • @msmandy00 He sounds wonderful and I know what you mean about camera-shy. KC hears the camera chime and clams up, too (unless he's in the bathroom looking at himself!). I think there's a way to shut the action noise off; that might help.

  • Great job! Your bird is lovely! My cockatiel loves watching this video :)

  • @msmandy00 You are very kind to say such nice comments. What's your 'tiels name and do you have any vids posted of him or her?

  • how do i get my partially tamed cockatiel to step up on my finger?

  • @amberlight27510 Well, I'm not a bird trainer, but ours just stepped up on our fingers when we put our finger down near his feet. They seem to know they can perch there. Best wishes with your cockatiel!

  • @amberlight27510

Use millet! Anytime your bird "steps up", give him/her a bite of millet! They will pick it up quick! Also say "good bird"! Good luck!

  • at 1:10 he or she started to sing a lullaby or parts of it

  • @58Jericho85 Thanks, 58Jericho, for watching KC's video. He seems to get bored with the song rather quickly and goes off into a jazz whistling routine. He's a great bird.

  • my tiel and I both loved it... now he's singing in response, so thanks for the video :)

  • @ellalebell You are so very welcome. Too bad he doesn't whistle Jingle Bells! Merry Christmas.

  • Your tiel is awesome! I have two tiels (one is a massive feather plucker)- both rescue birds and neither talks. But your guy just made me laugh!

  • @lexikalfanfic Thanks so much. I've heard of the plucker birds; some sort of compulsion or disorder perhaps. If they are females, they probably won't talk. We had a wonderfully sweet and friendly female but her vocalizations were mostly unpleasant screeches. Happy holidays!

  • i love your bird :) mine would make up his own songs, lol.

  • @KeswickCamp08 Aww, thanks for enjoying KC. Cool that yours also makes up his own songs. They are nifty birds.

  • I had a cockatiel named Paulie....he thought EVERY 2 syllable word was "uh-oh!" i had a dog named Mable, and when he saw her he'd say "Uh-oh!" when someone walked in the door instead of "hello" (he said hello ONCE) he would say "Uh-oh!

  • @KeswickCamp08 Uh-oh! That's cute. K.C. isn't our first cockatiel, but he's definitely the biggest talker we've ever had (or heard). His latest antics involve getting the dogs all stirred up, deliberately, by hanging upside down and spreading his wings. He loves to drive them bonkers!

  • @Winkiedoodles thats so funny! mine i s very attention-needing. we couldnt keep him where we moved, so my mom gave him to someone who works in a drs office and they let him fly all day and he lands on the patients shoulders and talks to them and whistles and tweets. if you look up "Paulie sings with Natalia Tena" he should be the 1st video there.

  • Mine always did that too. :) (The ad libbing.) Hilarious.

  • @shadowfaxx1 Thanks for sharing that your 'tiel is an ad-libber, too! Aren't they the craziest birds!

  • that was soooo cute!

  • @roxy123412345465 Thanks! He's a character for sure. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • @Winkiedoodles u too! and thanks! :D

  • awesome

  • @GordonOsmena Thank you so much! I don't know why this video is a 'viewer's favorite' of KC's talents. There's far better videos of him in the playlist. Thanks again!

  • that's it. I'm getting one.

  • @Honesty107 Awwww, that was the finest compliment ever, thank you! If you are serious about getting a cockatiel be sure to check out the good, bad and ugly of bird ownership. It's kinda like being married to a 6 oz. ball of feathers.

  • OMG, I was literally pissing myself laughing!

So funny! Time to start training my 2 cockatiels, I have them eating out of my hand so far...

  • @thetriggerhappypwner Ha! So glad you liked his "performance." This really isn't his best video; he shows off his talents a lot better in other vids in the playlist on our channel. You are starting your 'tiels off just right. KC was, and remains, a really friendly bird (except when moulting) due to being hand raised and 'humanized' real early on. Best wishes and do you plan to put up vids of your 'tlels? Don

  • @Winkiedoodles Of course...

  • He's pretty but i am getting a lutino cockitieal

  • @GRUNTXERO thats great hope ur cockiteal is smart and talks and stuff

  • He's beautiful :)

  • @kyokun4eva Awww, how nice of you to say! He's an ordinary grey cockatiel with an unusual gift of gab. There's even better videos of his talking on our channel. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Maybe he is saying ,"pretty bird" not "pretty girl". Cute video.

  • @nataliebowman79 I think you're right on at least one instance; maybe more. It is our fault for confusing him since we started saying "pretty girl" and then switched to saying "pretty bird." Best wishes!

  • Gender confusion!!!

  • @Suuz1997 Completely! Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • I see he's fluent in speaking "Katamari Damacy"!

  • @Lance241151 I had to look that up. Well, its hard to say what he's speaking but we think its what he interprets listening to the phone.

  • @Winkiedoodles Oh yeah, Its this video game I used to play a long while ago. In between parts 0:40 and 1:07 it sounds like your Cockatiel is speaking the way they do through dialog. Like whenever the characters in that game talk, they make an extremely similar sound to the way your Cockatiel was speaking in between 0:40 and 1:07.

I thought it was pretty cute and picked up on this immediately. xD

  • @Winkiedoodles I favorited a video of Katamari Damacy so you could see what I'm talking about. =P

Just watch the first couple seconds of the video I favorited in my channel, and you'll see exactly what I mean. lol

  • @Lance241151 Oh for Heaven's sake, there is a resemblance to his 'gibberish' and that silly scratching voice in that game. I don't think he's ever played it since we keep him off the Wii and keyboards (ha).

  • @Winkiedoodles haha yeah, I find it pretty cute though. I wonder where he picked that up from. Maybe it's the phone, like you said before. lol

  • Totally adorable!

I have a (probably female, cause she only tweets) cockatiel that's a year and a half old now. She's so devoted to me and clings to my clothes like a barnacle on a ship wherever I go. Great companion bird, and moves with me so smoothly.

  • @basspig Thanks for watching and commenting! Your bird sounds like a wonderful girl! The friendliest one we ever owned was a female, too, but she didn't have the talking or whistling talent, either. She'd make plenty of noise at times, but was a sweetie like yours. Best wishes!

  • @Winkiedoodles I want to get another cockatiel soon, a male this time, one that is singing, because they're such good whistlers. Clyde, my only cockatiel at the moment, is akin to the nagging housewife in a long marriage--she isn't shy to express her impatience when she wants a neck rub and doesn't get it fast enough. I get that warning peck on the face. I'm sure you know the gesture. :-) Right now I have a cockatiel and a Grey parrot. They coexist and tolerate eachother in neighboring cages.

  • @basspig Your female 'tiel's name is Clyde? How funny! We did a name change when our 'girl' Lacey started talking.....oopsie....she is a he. So we changed Lacey to Casey (K.C.) and the blabbing continues. You are spot on about long marriages. They live a very long time and have predictable behavior patterns just like us. We have a blue and white budgie that keeps KC company (in separate cages). The little one gets real upset when we take KC out of the room and vice-versa. Silly animals!

  • @Winkiedoodles I know, it's kinda funny, but my 7 year old daughter named her before we started to suspect that 'he' was likely a 'she'. The name just stuck. So Clyde hangs out with Yuki, our African Grey, and we call them the Odd Couple, because Clyde is a slob like Oscar Madison and Yuki is fastidious and 'proper' like Felix Ungar in that 60s TV sitcom of the same name.

Clyde is very adaptable and moves well with me, so I don't feel like I have to slow down or limit my activities.

  • @basspig Yuki and Clyde, the Odd Couple! Very cute, especially since I grew up watching Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau on TV and in the movies. Sadly, Walter passed in 2000 and Lemmon in 2001, but their legacy lives on! Best wishes, Don

  • @Winkiedoodles The Odd Couple was Tony Randall and Jack Klugman in the TV series, but you're right about Matthau being in the movie. Art Carney, somehow never set right as the neater of the two.. I can't get images of him playing in The Honeymooners out of my mind.

    Cheers,

    Mark

  • that bird is so so so much coot

  • @justinbiebertoxic101 thanx hes been coot for a long time glad u watched him sing

  • Thanks for the subtitles. He's so sweet! I have a cockatiel hen. She doesn't talk, but she's still quite the chatter box.

  • @SailorBalance You are so kind, thank you. We started the whole cockatiel saga many years ago with the sweetest female 'tiel you'll ever meet. We thought this one (we originally named Lacey) was a female until "she" started talking; hello K.C.!

  • so CUTE!!!))

  • @2IronBird Many thanks!

  • Wow my bird must be metally retarded..

  • @slideshowgurl Ha! Well, I can't say about your bird, but we've had several others (before K.C.) that have had "issues." He's in a zone of his own. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • How did u get him to give kisses? I've been trying to teach one of my cockatiels how to

  • @redhead1928 Aww, thanks for asking about that! Somewhere in the KC videos playlist he's real young and is sitting on top of his cage, looking at his mirror, and saying "give me a kiss" over and over. I think its called Kiss Kiss Kissing Cockatiel or something like that. Anyway, my wife and I were always "kissy" and he picked up on the words and the sound and still loves his rubs and kisses. When I take him out of his cage and up to Brenda he'll lean forward and "kiss"; quite charming.

  • This was very amusing~ ^^ It made my day, or rather night at this time. Thank you for sharing. AWESOME Cockatiel~~~

  • @hugonohemi Thank you and glad you enjoyed K.C.! He's a fun bird.

  • How do you Edith the movie ? What pogramm use? ;/

  • @XxxXCuteiishXxxX Thanks for watching! I used an earlier version of Cyberlink editing software and will admit it wasn't one of my best productions (from an editing standpoint). The latest Cyberlink is a much more powerful editing program. Best wishes!

  • MORE VIDS PLLEEASSEE! HES ADORABLE!

  • @freeagentsgirl619 You are too kind! He has quite a few videos on our channel where he's talking and doing other cool stuff. He's amazing. Thanks for watching!

  • my cockateil could do a wolf whistle and an irish march (no idea how he learned that one) but we had to sell him cause he was too aggressive.

  • @skyressmaster12 thats to bad we had a real prety cockteil that got mean so we sold him back to the pet shop

  • COOL BIRD AWESSOME

  • @mischiefcutie Thanks, we love him!

  • My cockatiel is 21 years old.

  • @battlefieldfan1231 That's wonderful; hope it remains in good health.

  • AWWW. <3

  • @GracieNeah17 Thanks for watching and I'm glad you liked his singing.

  • How did you train your bird? I'll be getting one shortly and I want to make sure I don't do anything wrong.

  • @shamanking48 We didn't do much of anything in the way of training. He was hand-raised, thus friendly, and we just talked to him, let him out of his cage and interacted with him, and he started to show his personality after a while. We whistled several tunes but he picked up on the Rock a Bye Baby song. Good luck with your bird! Oh, and if you have papillons keep them from having your bird for lunch.

  • SO CUTE!!!!

  • @andoperlas Thanks! I'm posting a new vid of him in a short while (this vid is 3 years old).

  • That's great av ad my tiel bwt 3 days she only just started to trust me got er to step up on a stick and my hand but she still very shy

  • @azwilko23 They start out shy and the longer you interact with them (especially the young ones) the more they trust you.

  • my cockatiel know how to say ha ha ha ha and hello and hes only a little baby bird

  • @fusionfallboy863 That's amazing; perhaps you have a conversationalist bird (they do have different talents).

  • my budgie was just staring

  • @roxyreyes12 That's mostly what I do! Thanks for watching.

  • i wish my cockatiel responded to me like that...it just screeches and bites at me :(

  • @UwatchinQ We had the same experience once with a cockatiel my wife bought at a pet store. His name was Zorro and we had high hopes for him but got screeching and biting instead. We traded him in.

  • Aw thats a cute Bird =D

  • @AsianRice1997 Thanks. He's barrels of fun!

  • I'm getting my new tiel today. My old one died of old age a few years back. I'm so happy I found this video, this has made me so excited to get another tiel!!! :D

  • @sassygermanchik Wow. I'm sorry your 'tiel passed away and hope your next one is a dandy. Appreciate your watching KC do his thing.

  • I bought a cockatiel the other day :) take a look at my video. He is a cutie :)

  • @brittany5594 Yes, yes, Rocky is a cutie and will be a great cockatiel I'm sure!

  • great Cockatiel i love them :) ....and 1 question , how much time is needed for cockatiel to learn one melody , for example 9 second long melody ? please if somebody knows , answer to me

  • @MrLolzila Thank you. I don't know how long it would take to teach a melody. When he was young, we would whistle a lot of different songs in his presence and he latched onto this one. Lots of 'tiels sing different songs but I have no clue as to whether or not you can specifically direct them towards one song. They are just quirky birds I suppose.

  • @Winkiedoodles and 1 more question , do I have to tame him first and than to teach different songs or not ? because this is my second cockatiel after about 3-4 years, and i have him for about 15-20 days and he learned how to return in cage and he eats sometimes from my hand but he is still afraid to be on my shoulder or on my hand and I hope he will be good while time is passing :)

  • @MrLolzila We were very fortunate to get KC when he was young and had been hand raised so he was very tame. I think you are on the right track with your cockatiel. He's becoming your friend and the more he trusts you the more his personality will come out. Just keep interacting with him as much as you can and I'm sure he'll be wonderful.

  • @Winkiedoodles cockatiel which I had before 3-4 years was very very great and unfortunately...hawk or eagle got him because cockatiel was outside with me as usually and that's reason why i got this 1, and I hope this 'tiel will be like last one ( but for this, i am not really sure that i will let him outside ) :)

  • @MrLolzila Unless you live in Australia where there are millions of them, cockatiels should probably be inside safe from harm.

  • @Winkiedoodles i am from Bosnia , actually in Republika Srpska which is part of Bosnia :) ... and what you think about dimensions of cage 30x36x50[cm] for tiel ? I think it's enough to sleep there , and during the day he is released inside of house

  • @MrLolzila Sure, sounds plenty big. Say hello to your Cockatiel (in Bosnian of course!). :)

  • @Winkiedoodles 1 more thing , my 'tiel looks just like yours :) , and have a nice day :)

  • I loved his performance!! Lovely!

  • @ElaMarley Thanks a lot; he's a blabbermouth as well as a whistler so he keeps us smiling!

  • hahaha to cute mine is 6 months and he says hello how are u

  • @hanprincessxo That''s very nice! He'll learn some other stuff, too, and will be a good talker. Aren't they funny!

  • oh thts cool i had a cockateil but my grandma took him he acttually spoke a few word and whistle nice now i got a all white one butits a girl so its ganna be hard for her to learn i berly got her 2 weeks ago wanna teach her to tlk but idk

  • @cosmmic1 i dont think the girls cant talk they just mimic sounds its the boys that say full words ..idk i could be wrong

  • @cosmmic1 We've had females and they normally don't talk but do a lot of squawking. They are still very smart and can learn a lot of things.

  • at wat age did he strt singing?

  • @cosmmic1 He started talking at around 8 months and I think his first singing and whistling was at about 9 months.

  • My Bird looks exactly like yours!

  • @Teardropmoonshine He's a typical gray blabbermouth. Thanks for watching!

  • funny bugger

  • @Kokoda144 He's quite the entertainer; thanks!

  • Do you have your cockatiels wings clipped? Because I'm thinking of buying a pair of cockatiels for my daughter.

  • @ronl1973 No, we don't clip his wings. We also don't let him fly around freely any more because of the whole two papillons thing. I've heard it is a great idea to clip wings if you want your bird to get out and sit on its cage or its roosts and places like that.

  • totally ADORABLE!

  • @eminemfan111girl Thanks a lot!

  • How ADORABLE!!! my cockatiel likes to sing too!

  • @ShyAnn291 Thank you! And, thankfully, we don't get tired of hearing him sing every day!

  • awww i miss my cockatiel :( she would run around on the floor and make race car noises. You will be missed, Sonny.

  • @cherry35416 Aww, how cute was Sonny. I'm sure he was wonderful and is missed a lot.

  • SO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • ADORABLE!

  • @aliXsin Thank you very much.

  • @Winkiedoodles ur so welcomne. is KC an acronym for anything?

  • @aliXsin Yes, in fact it is in a way. When we got the bird (very young) we thought it was a female so we named "her" Lacey. Well, what to do when we realize it is a male? The solution was: Casey. Since we lived near Kansas City (and were Chiefs fans) we just shortened it to K.C. Truth is stranger than fiction!

  • I used to have a pair of birds (male and female) and One would sing and the other would dance to the other one singing, it was so cute! :)

  • @applesaucechaos Oh how wonderfully sweet that must have been! We've considered getting a female to be KC's mate but then we'd have little ones and the birds live 15 years or so. It would be worth considering if we had an aviary!

  • She makes a lot of funny noises and even does a couple of tricks. Sometimes i think she'll say something because she watches me with such intent!

  • Yes, she is the tamest and sweetest bird of all the birds i have.

  • Very Cute!! 4out of 5 of my birds talk( including a love bird)!! Only my female tiel doesnt.

  • @emaya333 Our female 'tiel didn't talk either, but she was a wonderful and very tame bird. Sounds like you've got a flock of talking birdies to entertain each other!

  • ..i love how i have the exact same bird except she's a total retard -_-

  • @AlyssaShotgun Aww, surely she's not! Supposedly the females don't talk. We had a female once and she was such a great, friendly bird but didn't talk. Only screeched.

  • I LOVE this bird!!! i finally convinced my mom to get me one and he can talk! i dont know when he started talking but he can say: peek-a-boo, hello, pretty bird, and he can do the wolf whistle and some song but i dont know with one its still a mystery haha! anyway i played this and he started whistling so i thought the dog was trying to get him but he was actually singing along! it was so cute!! Thumbs Up if you love this video!! :D

  • @FunnyOnTape123 Well that is wonderful! We got KC when he was real young and he didn't say anything for a long time and then he started blabbing and hasn't shut up since! :)

  • awwwwwwww hes such a cutie! i want a male cockatiel hahah ;D

are they ahrd to care for?

  • @QuackQuack61 Thanks a lot. Well, he's no harder than a female we used to own. They do want you to play with and interact with them often but that's what you get when you have pets!

  • @QuackQuack61 sorta i have one and hes quite a handful! dont for get to clean their cage every week or else it might get too dirty for them to live in. and if you do get one make sure to put in LOTS of toys like mirrors and bells to keep him happy. also you need to feed him and give him water ALL the time or else he or she will starve.

  • His born a star! 5 STAR PLUS!

  • @youtoubakias Thanks a million! He loves to whistle that song and then laugh or wolf whistle. He's a natural performer I suppose!

  • He si cuteeeeeeee!!!!! Love

  • @kelyanneplo Many, many thanks and KC says Hello.

  • i love this video i have a cockateil named polly

  • @mimipink19 Polly, how cute! KC says hi to Polly!

  • o - o my bird always has this strange reaction to whistling... like his allegic to it cause it looks like he sneezes when he hears whistling |||= A =

  • @11nguyen That's really funny that he has an allergic reaction to whistling! Thanks for watching!

  • @11nguyen omg i know exactly what u mean. my bird bella always does this hissing sound when i whistle sharply near her. she gets all excited and fluffs her feathers.. hmm i wonder why are birds do this lol

  • LOL why he sounds like a TV!! XDD

  • @windbelle Thanks for watching and commenting! He loves whistling that song.

  • awwww hes sooo cute =D xx

  • @LaurenBaby94 Much appreciated! KC says hi!

  • so cool and so cute i have a cockateil to haha shes trying 2 copy your bird right now

  • @TABITHAANGELLO Thank you for watching and your kind comments!

  • how did you get him to sing all that my 2 year old can only sing the first part of Jesus Loves me and he only get that right half of the time then he can say pretty bird ,no ,and wolf wistles

  • @hippytreeloverperson When he was young we whistled several songs and he started repeating that one. He doesn't do well with the second or other stanzas, but he just tries anyway!

  • my boy sings HI HO HI HO, THE WEDDING MARCH, BEETHOVEN , JINGLE BELL'S , RUDOLF THE RED NOSE REIN DEER, AN WOLF WHISTLE. LAUGH'S

HE'S NAME IS LEONARDO I HAVE HIM SINCE A BABY.

  • @ladidizzl3 Leonardo sounds remarkable! Do you have a video of him performing?

  • this can damage your bird of you are him holding in front of the mirror

    it can damage the brain

    i will just warn you

    finsent

  • @finsent0 Well, he's been chatting in the mirror for years and is still the same brain damaged bird. Does your bird have brain damage also?

  • @Winkiedoodles Don't worry, It wont brain damage your bird, In fact, birds LOVE looking in the mirror at themself. sometimes they get attatched to it and they thing its another bird, so they try to show off for them :P . I think thats what ur bird does. anyways. Very nice bird :) I'm getting a parrotlet and I hope I can teach it well, I've had a bird before. But, Do you have any tips for training?

  • @PenguinzGoRawr Thanks, Penguinz, I confess that the "brain damaged" description was a bit of an exaggeration. We know about birds and mirrors and KC definitely loves his mirror. About all I can say about training is to talk to your bird and handle them as much as you can while keeping them safe. This one just has a talent and a nice personality (when he's not moulting and moody).

  • @Winkiedoodles Np . Thanks for the tip :). When I get mine i'll practise with him :) .

  • i jut got a cockatiel and she was oddly amused by this video

  • @waffles1098 Thanks, waffles!
