Heh, i drive a '05 Black w/ red leather interior GT aswell, and this video, over all the others, made me want to buy these. This is with the other mid pipes and headers stock i assume, yes?

@Fifteenpigs Good to hear! Yes, this is just the axle-back's, nothing else. The CAI helped deepen the sound a tiny bit but it's hardly noticable.

I got same pipes on 08 GTCS, I love SLP been customer for years, Had them on my 02 GT as well. Im so happy with axle back. 02 was a bitch, took 2 hours to cut the stock pipes with a saw (being on my back with about 4 inches of sawing space). Axle back is great just unbolt, bolt on new ones and bam your done. Im thinking of getting X pipes or off road pipes but i think it be way too loud. what you think?

haha i got the o/r and it was loud as shit, I ended up changing back to an catalytic converted xpipe because i was waking everyone up when id come home at night.

I had a pypes offroad x. For the hell of it, I left off the mufflers lol. The damn thing sounded ridiculous, but I mean that in a not practical way. I felt conscious starting the car early in the morning. I put the stock mufflers on and it was really quiet. I have had slp loudmouths and those were perfect im telling you from experience. Combined, would pretty much be equivalent to having no mufflers on. DID ANYONE FEEL A DECREASE IN THROTTLE RESPONSE DUE TO LOW BACK PRESSURE FROM THE SLP'S??

one more thing, if i put the SLPs on will i fail inspection or void a warranty? I've heard mixed responses for this question, what do you know

i know my Service Manager very well and spoke with him before install, he said it would be fine. The only thing that it would void is the emissions systems but he said not to worry about it. Just be smart and let him know ahead of time, ask his opinion, tell him how it will improve the quality of the car and see if he will be on your side should anything happen.

yes. the hardest part is getting the bolts of the stock system, the heat jammed them tight. WD-40 and a strong grip will help!

actually it is just an axleback not x pipe or anything. it should add a very small ammount of hp but nothing noticable.

nope. got an 05 rx8 gt a few months ago. no problems so far except for a dead battery cuz the previous owner had some crazy stereo system that he had hooked directly to the battery before he took it out and sold it to me. great car. lots of fun. i have heard the 04 and below are notorious for problems since mazda was still figuring out the 13b. maybe thats where your rumors came from?

THATS what a V8 is supposed to sound like. lean, yet full somehow. i'm selling my V8 T-bird and getting a used RX8. i won't have any cash for upgrades anytime soon, but if i could change the exhaust i'd want it to sound like a small V6 rather than a huge I4. kinda like a 350z i guess? whatever. nice ride man. i'm getting into imports more now, but i have and always will love mustangs!

oh dude i hope im not to late.... the rx8 is horrible with engine and trany problems! DO NOT GET IT! plus, its not something a typical person can really work on... id stick with the t-bird or invest in the new stang. it's the best advice i could give you. :(
