  • He's well spoken, but that doesn't escape the fact that he's a sly lying traitor to the British people, along with Tony Blair.

  • BROWN IS 100% RIGHT ABOUT THE GUTTER PRESS

PARASITES LIKE DOMINIC MOHAN SHOULD BE JAILED

IM NO LABOURITE BUT WELL SAID GORDON!!

  • Its true New Labour, especially under Blair was far to close to the Murdoch press.

But you are attacking Brown when you should be attacking the poisonous gutter press. Politicians like Brown have to take pressure but what about leaches like Dominic Mohan of the Sun. They never have to face critique but the disgusting hate-filled rags they edit have destroyed innocent lives.

The gutter press is a poisonous stain on Britain and need to be fucking purged.

  • Lol. The British parliament is a room of fucking clowns and kids.

    Yea.. naaah...sit down..nuuah..yeaaa.. uhhh...NAAAA..boohooo.

  • There could be a drinking game. Take a shot every time he stutters when saying Mr. Speaker. "Muh-muh-muh-muh Mr Speaker."

By the way, I'm not British. Can someone tell me who is further left, the labour party or the lib-dem?

  • Christ, this is embarrassing. The guy is fucking off the reservation.

  • The Bank of England Act 1998 was an act of treason for which he should have hanged.

  • I'm an American who's only heard him speak on PBS w/Charlie Rose and on C-span's Booktv. I saved each interview with my DVR and have watched them several times. I loved what he had to say and was very impressed with his ideas and intelligence. I, unfortunately, didn't follow anything political here or there until about a year ago.

I will have to do some research on that, but from what I heard and saw I genuinely was inspired by him:)

  • Those idiots shouting "sit down" are supposed to be running the country yet they behave like a bunch of drunks. Even if I disagree with somebody I will still defend their right to say their piece and would not try to embarrass anyone like that.

  • LEGEND, TAKE THAT YOU FUCKING TORRIES

  • Why was he never this articulate as PM?

  • An honourable man ? .......You need to change your drugs medication fella. Nothing honourable about opening our borders to mass uncontrolled immigration without our consent .Quite despicable in fact.

  • An honourable man. Brown was one of our better Prime Ministers. He took the very necessary steps to save our banking system here in the UK. Who knows where we would be now without him? The Eurozone could learn a lot from his wisdom.

  • I was on a school trip to London in this week, we even went to the Parliament on that day not knowing wth was going on. We waited in line for 1,5h minimum until Brown was done with his speech, the observer's lounge was almost empty by then. But hell, very compfy seats...

    mfG diiebane

  • the ultimate nose picker !!!!

  • What a disaster

  • This gives me a boner.

  • This says everything about this man - he willingly let news corp report on his very private life, whilst he was in power - no problem. When he (deservedly) loses power, his vitriol is extreme. If their is a better example of a hippocrit - please tell me. Gordon Brown is a despicable individual. To think he was (unelected) Prime Minister of this country makes me sick.

  • this is their c-span? England is AWESOME!!! ~ john steward

  • @ThePoop1579

This is the Parliament of the United Kingdom, not of England.

  • @MissDumyat yeeeeeeeeah!

  • Fuck off gordon you evil slimy lying traitor.

  • @aeronuk1

WHY DONT YOU FUCK OFF, TORY FASCIST

  • Living people actually follow British "government"?

  • This traitor should be hung.

  • @MissDumyat Don't care much for Cameron and the Tories . Almost as bad as Labour. Most people were just totally pissed off with Labour and neglect of/or support of mass uncontrolled immigration. I know two people who worked for Immigration "Control" (Coughs) and they said ANYONE got in. Labour did this deliberately to "rub the rights nose in diversity" and to increase their electorate. They hoped their own working class voters would not realize this or would be apathetic.

  • Gordon Brown derides news corp. for publicising his sons ailment. Yes, but didn't he go to Rebekah Brooks wedding, two weeks after the publication ?? What does that say about Gordon Brown ?? Easy - he's a low life. The most important thing to Brown was power, not his family. Brown is a seriously flawed person, he needs help, big time.

  • Former Labour Defence Secretary John Hutton was the cabinet minister who said Gordon Brown would be a "fucking disaster" as prime minister. Well he was spot on with that prediction !.

  • @Bellalodicci9 but least Gordon Brown wasn't a whore for Murdoch like David Cameron.

  • @Bellalodicci9 what did he do categorically wrong?

  • @BenFosterism Read "Gordon is a moron" by Vernon Coleman. Available in Waterstones. It is all in there.

  • @Bellalodicci9 had a little look at the author of the book. He's written alot, he seems good at analysis, he was a GP thus good work ethic... Oh but wait the book pre-dates his employment as prime minister and oh man even the book pre-dates the financial crisis! Further more this man is not qualified in finance and prob knows very little of back door dealing of the goverment and what money it did/diddn't have. I think gordon was no way near the best but certainly not the worst PM and Chancellor

  • @BenFosterism Some of his thoughts on Brown and what he would be like as PM became sadly became only too true. He certainly nailed Browns physchology and character to a tee. Yes he may not be qualified in finance but then neither was Brown.

  • Tory propagandist liarpolitics, who uploaded this video, clearly shot himself in the foot as evidenced by the 118 who like the speech as distict from 12 who did not. There are no valid responses to the points and information given by Brown from the Tory benches or the Brown haters here -only distortions diversions and attempts to smear by innuendo. In all seriousness I suggest they listen to the speech again and ingest the facts where he fully explains he was constrained to act as he wished.

  • Re my previous post (see below), Sres1 obviously has an agenda, but, for his/her Big Lie - their smear - to work and be effective, they are dependent upon people not knowing the timeline of events.

And who would have such an agenda - ie to try and move the blame for Milly Dowler's phone being hacked to Brown and Labour and the 'left'? Scumbag propagandists that subvert and corrupt the truth, that's who!

  • Sres1 said:

This phone hacking happened on Labour's watch, they did nothing about it... shame on Brown and shame on the left, because this Milly Dowler business would not have happened, if they had done their job and addressed it at the time!

Milly Dowler was murdered, and her phone hacked, in 2002. The first time phone hacking was uncovered was in relation to the royal family in 2006, so how could Brown or the 'left' have done anything to prevent Milly Dowler's phone being hacked!

  • Gordon Brown severely criticised News Corp / NOTW for publicising details of his son's illness. He emphasised the real distress it caused to him, his wife, and the future for his son. THEN 2 WEEKS LATER, AFTER THE NOTW RAN THE STORY, HE WENT TO REBICA BROOKS WEDDING. What does that tell you about this psycotic megalomaniac ? Gordon Brown is a severely flawed human being, a very dangerous person completely out of touch with any kind of reality. Sarah Brown, be afraid, be very afraid.

  • Comment removed

  • You said he 'bothered to show up' I gurantee that if he'd turned up regularly you'd say 'he won't ever leave.' Perhaps you can upload without such slanted and biased commentary.

  • We are watching this saga to unfold from Sydney, Aust. Murdoch empire is only the tip of the iceberg of what corporates are doing to our international citizens. I am not a Gordon Brown fan but I give him sincere credit for choosing the right moment & has courage to stand up against such a crooked media with excessive power when he is off field. The politicians in Australia are even worse, they are slimy and have no spines. After Black, it is time for the Murdoch.

  • It's rather incredible to hear Brown standing up for privacy and 'basic liberties' when NuLab encouraged, legislated for, and presided over very serious infringements into these areas of life. What about the Identity Card Act 2006, and RIPA?

  • Possible hypocrisy/delusion aside, "Marching in step with criminals" is NOT a gaff. This means same ways of corruption, such as no conscience-soul or ethics, no Free Will, profiting from or destatussing their victims, etc.

    Again "Systematic criminality"(dictionary) means either:

1 lawbreaker at the act (as JE-Joint Enterprise| Crime in System) or

2 person or group found guilty of crime in court.

As News Int'l hasn't been found guilty of JE/CiS crime yet, "1" is necessarily meant.

    Hitler was a 1

  • If you watch the tube vid "Gordon Brown picking his nose" you will see that he does quite a bit of "hacking" himself

  • You know who needs to be brought in for questioning... Peter Mandelson.

  • And I bet Ross Kemp is so glad he divorced that mad drunken bitch Rebecca now!

  • That said, Murdock and Brooks are both evil, dangerous cunts with way too much power. Hislop and Private Eye have been trying to tell the country that for some time but no one listened. How sad that it took the NOTW's treatment of a grieving family before everyone took notice.

  • Gordon is a moron. The fucking hypocrite sucked Murdock's cock for the whole time he was in power and now he's jumping on the populist bandwagon when it's easy and it suits him. #FAIL

  • BBC Parliament is much more lively than C-SPAN lol....

  • SIT DOWN BROWN-You are BORING

  • Brown helped ruin this country...ugly dick....pure evil.Signed cheques for the slaughter in Iraq....

  • @Glenmead Shut up you ignorant fuck.

  • What a total bullshitter. What about your wife's sleepovers with Rebekah Brooks,eh? Dickhead.

  • @usainlightning Haha, you watched 'This Week' with Andrew Neil too :-)

  • @MsTeenBirmingham Hell yeah, every week.

  • @usainlightning . were they lesbians? I dont get it...do men have "sleep-overs"...or are women different--they "sleep over" drinking ovaltine and cuddling their teddy bears?

  • "No matter of greater importance than the basic freedoms of our citizens" lol.. this fat windbag really does know how to tell a joke.

This is the man whose party was going to force ID cards on us, who made us the most surveilled nation on earth, who intended to make a mass spying ring to spy on all our private communications & who wanted to make a network of public servants who would spy on our political beliefs.

Maybe he mean importance as in important to remove them.

  • Fuck off Brown you cunt you ruined the uk and signed cheques for Iraq war

  • @Glenmead Well said, Sir :-)

  • Goarn Gordz

  • SCUM BAGS.

#FAIL

  • Fucking love Gordon Brown

  • Gordon Brown is a professional troll.

  • A man of integrity, speaking the truth as only our Gord can. A man of back bone, who ended the Blair relationship with the cancer news organisation to his own cost in the long run. Well done Gordon

  • I notice 'NOTWPhoneHacking' is trying to control the debate about Brown on here. lol.

  • Gordon Brown is the only man who actually makes me sympathetic to Murdoch and normally I wouldn't stop to piss on that old canker sore of a man if he was on fire.

  • The only reason this cunt should cross the border and make a speech in Parliament is to apologize to this nation for wrecking the economy, throwing our borders open to mass uncontrolled immigration, creating highest the unemployment for 16 years..............so fuck off you "One-eyed Scottish Idiot" because most people south of Hadrian's Wall think you are a "fucking disaster' and a traitor !

  • Brown is in desperate need of status, thats why he needed the IMF job. He needs the status as a cover- once he gets the top job he can then legitimise himself as a voice permitted in the public domain. Once he has a permit to be in the public domain then the Guardian can use him as their mouthpiece. They will "make" him seem coherent/feed him scripts and so on, but the deal is they can break him too if he balks at whats requested of him.

  • He shows his cowardly face at last in parliament, to slag of a press he left untouched again and again in his many hours of power, Now we start to see his once hidden anger in public !...for political reasons...

  • I do not agree with a lot of this man's policies, but what he suffered at the hands of the Tory press was... repulsive. No man, whatever his policies, deserves to be abused to that extent. News International should be internationally outlawed. Hacking into the phones of dead soldiers... of sick children... it's disgusting. I hope Murdoch enjoys his final weeks of power before the yanks uncover evidence that he hired 9/11 phone hackers.

  • @TheLiberalKnight : Nobody's disagreeing with his criticisms - but just look into Brown's own relationship with these ghouls. He was obsessed with keeping Murdoch happy. And don't also forget that Brown was a VERY zealous signatory to the police and surveillance state that we all live under today. He wanted all our phones tapped, all out e-mails recorded, longer detention without trial - but then wailed like the deluded hypocrite that he is at the thought of his own life being monitored.

  • @ liarpoliticians

This man had his childs PRIVATE medical condition splashed over Murdochs rags to sell papers, good on Brown for making this speech.

  • Gordon Brown won the debates leading up to the election. Only trouble is they weren't really debates, it was a beauty contest.

  • I can't believe this joker has the timerity to lecture Parliament on individual freedoms!

  • The man who opened our borders to mass uncontrolled immigration to increase the Labour electorate. What a cunt and a traitor !.

  • The big mistake the Tories made was to put Cameron in charge, if David Davies was leader he would have acted more prudently. The coalition has lost its legitimacy and surely now its days are numbered.

  • @wiredboy27 That was a huge mistake. I don't think there would even have been a coalition if David Davis was the leader. Everyone liked him. He was clear, understandable and didn't talk shit like every other politician.

Even worse, he was forced to stand down "over his issues with the surveillance state."

But I guess her majesty and the Bilderberg Group preferred to have Cameron and osborne.

  • This guy had the guts to stand up and condemn Rupert Murdoch in the strongest terms. No-one has done that since James Bond took on Eliot Carver.

  • Go on, Gordon!!!

  • No wonder one of his kids fucked off, who the fuck would want that face reading you a bed time story, give you nightmares for the rest of your life!!!!!

  • @TheTrimmTrab What an incredibly infantile comment. No doubt a Tory propagandist trying to divert attention away from the truth of what Brown is saying. Or one of Blair's gang!

  • Is that the intellectual pinnacle of Labour at 4:23 ''Sit down stupid.'' Is that how the Left deals with an argument.

Bercow is such an oily, saponaceous creep who demeans his office everytime he stands up. Listening to Bercow speak is rather like walking down the stairs and missing a step. You feel slightly perturbed, but it was so unimportant that you soon forget about it.

  • @Hamilcar275 It will be obvious to most people that the Tories were doing all they could to disrupt Brown's speech, because they knew it was going to be hard-hitting and reveal how they - the Tories - have done everything they can - prior to last week - to accomadate Murdoch and his media empire. And John Bercow soon put a stop to that!

  • why did stewart keep interuptting brown?

  • @optionsupdate don't you think it was unusual for a back bench member to get so long on the floor? He clearly wanted him to give way, hence the standing up and trying to interrupt. GB was rude to the house when he doesn't give way or acknowledge until he was 7mins into his speech...

  • @Sres1 The Tories were hassling him to give way after about 30 seconds! Watch the video!

  • @malcolmcolemann He slated the PM, course they're going to take opposition to that. This one eyed cunt, has the audacity to turn up to the parliament a handful of times since May 2010 and then speak for a full 30 minutes while changing history...

This phone hacking happened on Labour's watch, they did nothing about it... shame on Brown and shame on the left, because this Milly Dowler business would not have happened, if they had done their job and addressed it at the time!

  • DUE investigation, not JEW investigation, you anti-Semitic cunts.

  • @feckingbillgates . Nowhere on this thread has anyone stated what you are alleging someone has pointed out. So you hacked someones home and heard the reference. Fine. But youre wrong: he does say 'this is a Jew investigation'. "Due is pronounced slightly differently. Brown heavily pronounced 'Jew'- just to make the point. But who cares anyway what jews have got on him- he's out the picture anyway- he doesnt need to "take himself out" of a process he isnt even involved in anymore .

  • @feckingbillgates . talk about projection...lmao.

  • @IamBradleyAssange If you insist.

  • @feckingbillgates . I couldnt give a monkeys.

  • Brown's speech would be a lot more credible if he hadn't hosted parties at chequers for News Int executives.

  • He lost News Internationals support for his whole party with his inept government !! this was happening whilst he was chancellor/pm !! sorry but hes a massive hypocrite! their government shud of dealt with this there then! Another fine mess the tories are picking up

  • Brown is awesome, tory scum can piss off

  • sitttttttdowwwwwwwwn

  • "At their darkest hour, At their most vulnerable moment in their lives, With no one and no where to turn to found Their properly private lives, Their private sorrows, Their private innermost feelings and, Their private tears, Bought and sold for commercial gain by News International" Powerful stuff.

  • Nice one Gordon. Let's here more like this - expose these filthy self-serving bastards.

  • Excellent speech by Gordo. Pity it was so mendacious and self serving. All the things he said in his speech are probably true. However when in Government he never once publically came out and attacked News International even after they had stopped supporting Labour. As PM he could have held a public enquiry and ditched Gus O'Donnell if he really had tried to block him. Brown suffered at Murdoch's hands but he did not stand up to him when he had the power and influence to challenge him as PM.

  • A damn fine speech.

  • @jazzhuman is that you Nick Davies.lol.

  • Crash Gordon is filth. He is the dirtiest person in Parliament, bar none. He has ignored parliament in all the actions this year, the EU, the wars, financial crash of Greece and Ireland, but managed to come into the office to deliver a spiteful rant against his former friends, News International, who supported Liebour from 1995 to 2008.

  • What a two faced odious one eyed troll.

This man was helped into power by News intl and engaged in mutual masturbation with them for 14 years in power. Never did they do anything then. Now when Labour lost their support they are smugly attacking them.

  • @Tancred66 I think it is odious to focus on someone's disability to try and make a point. Then again, it is not surprising your point is so jaundiced, because either you do not recall or was not old enough to remember the Tory government from '79 to '97. If you did, then you would be aware that Thatcher cosied to the Murdoch press. She smashed unions allowing Murdoch to gain even more power. She deregulated media to the extent of allowing foreign ownership, leading to Sky. Blame Thatcher!

  • You'd blame Thatcher for the Spanish Inquisition and the Dissolution of the Monasteries if you could get away with it

  • He's fucking awesome.

  • has anyone gone to jail? sounds like a farce

  • Bare in mind Brown had to work with Tony Blair, that would f*** anyone up.

A point to remember; there are about 300+ corrupt coppers in Scotland Yard, and here's an intersting thing, Sir Paul Condon said in 1997 that these bent coppers were very well resourced financially and legally. I wonder how? Step forward Mr. Murdoch, Mr. Dacre, Mr. Desmond!

  • Even as a backbencher, I still hate whenever he speaks about anything! He is still Britain's answer to Richard Nixon.

  • Wow. Just wow. You Brits should be ashamed of yourselves. Gordon Brown? And here I thought the bottom of the barrel was George W. Bush. I was certain that the Americans were dumber than you. I was wrong. You are clearly the dumbest fucks on the planet. Congratulations, Britain. You win.

  • @JRCrowley Fuck off

  • Steve Bell's cartoon in the Guardian is brilliant.

  • Brown's biggest mistake was not closing down Scotland Yard.

The Police need to be punished severely for their utter failure. Time for Useless Yates to resign.

  • "Labour finding out the private details of rail crash victims, then trashing their reputations in the press."

Erm, link? I've never heard this.

  • I have a lot of time for Gordon Brown at the moment. He was a shit Prime Minister. But he speaks the truth, News Corporation deserve what they get, and no I am not a labour voter. The comments here are awful. You guys and girls need to learn a lovely little thing called "politics" and take a lesson in "knowing what the fuck I am talking about",

    NOTW did wrong. End of.

  • @sionfish Brown's error was that he allowed Blair to dictate too much, and that he didn't follow his instincts. Too often he did not follow his "moral compass" and followed the political tide, largely as a result of his insecurities.

Brown is a deeply flawed man, but he is at least a human being and not a plastic robot like Blair and Cameron.

Thatcher, Blair, and Cameron were in bed with Murdoch, whereas Major and Brown allowed their fear of him to weaken them.

  • @Relugus well said, problem is, LiarPoliticians is a member of the Tory party - he didn't cover their expenses scandal in the same way, and picked personal attacks on Brown, while licking Cameron's ass through thousands of videos.

  • @AndrewTally2 I didn't realise that. I sent the guy a friend invite and a sub, so may withdraw those now. Thanks for the warning :-)

  • I thought it was a fairly good showing. I guess I don't keep up with politics enough to be constantly angry though.

  • I didn't want to punch anything after watching this. Sorry.

  • CAPITALS really emphasise a blinkered point of view!

  • fuck em all i say

  • go fuck your self you wanker.

  • @mbb05jb Peasant.

  • not a gordon brown supporter at all,but nothing he said was a lie if you listen properly, and all this info is frfee to get hold of if you wish to.just shows how far the media overstepped the mark with regards to anything they thought was fair game.should be interesting next few months.

  • As much a people dislike Gordon Brown at least he is not prostituting himself in America like Tony Blair!

  • @themrduragss Gordon's been to America to push his book, and he's been to America on a "lecture tour", all while he's supposed to be an MP in the UK representing his constituents.

  • @liarpoliticians and lets not forget american idol

  • Comment removed

  • @liarpoliticians Big difference to what Blair has done and is doing.

  • @themrduragss That's because he's a fist class tosser and even the thick Yanks wouldn't let him get away with it.

  • @themrduragss The reason why he's not prostituing himself in America is that no one in the world is interested in what Gordon Brown has to say. Whereas Blair is a sell out.

  • 1:33 What a hypocritical lying sack of SHIT. It was HIS GOVERNMENT that tried to outlaw Home Schooling based on a fraudulent, lie filled report; where was his concern for the rights of 'the citizen" then? It was this BASTARD that wanted to bring in ID Cards and a disgusting centralized paedophile's dream database of all 11 Million children in the UK, with no opt out, (except the children of MPs, who were excluded), to which 3 million civil servants would have access. BURN IN HELL YOU SCUMBAG.

  • You Mr Brown, sent many children off to die and be maimed and injured for life in immoral and illegal invasions of sovereign nations. Sounds like a much higher crime even than the one you are so enthusiastically denouncing here. It´s called "covering of the anal regions".

  • @sinclair61 Irrelevant.

  • @YungSonable I did not ask for your opinion!

  • @sinclair61 Don't let me distract from your spastic ramblings.

  • @YungSonable I wont.

  • Brown has nothing better to do with his life than be a backbencher... A truly tragic statist.

  • not that labour and the ass eating lib dems are any better. Nick Clegg is busy probably cradling david cameron's cock right now, helping him cry his way to sleep. While ginger pubed rebekah brooks is getting a whole load of shit in her mouth courtesy of andy coulsen.

  • liarpoliticians says this is the worst speech given to parliament in a long time. Actually your wrong there, because each time David Cameron opens his mouth (after he's stopped giving blowjobs to rupert), the biggest load of etonian cock sucking shit comes out. David Cameron is a cunt.

  • its all well and funny saying Gordon Brown just turned up and ommited relevant facts, when in actual fact he spoke the truth, unlike David Cameron who was busy giving Rupert and Rebekah a 3 way fist fuck while eating andy coulson's cock like a sandwich. Fuck Conservatives!

  • Actually this is a rather good speech, this is years of being battered by the press coming out. It certainly isn't factually incorrect, he even tells you, it's all in the government archives. He was indeed 'the boss' however he was advised not to carry out a judical inquiry. Only a fool does not listen to his advisors, much like Cameron did not when hiring Andy Coulson.

  • I was right. EVERYTHING has to do with the damned stock market. :) I got English blood too.

  • what a lying fat one eyed prick.

  • I don't trust this man...

  • you're wrong in your description. New Labour was a media obsessed party. It was all look and no substance so of course they would've let Murdoch slide any party leader would've Cameron included. The only reason they're attacking him now is because he's vulnerable. I can't blame them though you have to believe they resented having to kiss his ass for all those years just to get elected.

  • brown talk about the lisbon treaty or selling our gold you was hurt by phone hacking you hurt the whole country

  • If you listened to Brown's comments, he knew that NOTW had obtained personal information about his family, but not how they did it. Brown didn't want to futher drag his son & his medical condition into the public spotlight, which a public discussion of the NOTW would have done. Stop attacking the victim.
