  • Washer is all dogma.

  • I never said I don't believe in absolutes, I said that I can't disprove an unproven claim---therefore I can't say with 100% certainty. But I'm not required to---we're talking basic burden of proof here---anything asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

If you have proof (not presupposition, speculation or projection) I suggest you phone it into the "atheist Experience", they love callers who claim to know.

  • @Fleasfleas2

A great many more are false converts as a result of the contorted gospel exposed in this video.

  • I love the way fundamentalist douche bags like PW pass judgment on everyone else including fellow Christians. His condemnation divisive heart is typical of a dogmatic approach to belief. Don't be intimidated by this dirt bag.

  • @socksumi

I hate the way people abuse the word "love" and reduce it to sarcasm.

I hate it when people cast their own judgement upon somebody who they claim is judgmental, themselves being such. All the while forgetting that Christ commanded that we judge and weigh the actions of other Christians.

  • @CullenJWebb It seems you don't like criticism of Paul Washer. Yet the man himself spews condemnation and derision on anything and everything that doesn't conform to his pinched view of existence. He scathingly lashes out at anything secular and anything from which man derives enjoyment including his life on earth. But I'd better not object?

But it's okay with you when PW launches those missiles? And just so you know---I'm not a Christian.

  • @socksumi

Criticism is a good thing. After all, I was critical of your comment and now you of mine.

However, I did not agree with the type of criticism you shared of Paul Washer. I pointed out that he is exposing what he believes to be a false doctrine. Anybody who says that exposing false doctrines is a false doctrine are getting themselves into a headache of a loop.

The fact that you are not a Christian changes things. Are you atheist, then? Agnostic? I apologize for my mistake.

  • @CullenJWebb I'm both an atheist and an agnostic. I'm sure you realize that Washer is controversial to other Christians. Imagine then if you can how insane he sounds to an atheist.

  • @socksumi

    Both?

I do understand that he is controversial to the church itself, and I guess i shouldn't expect somebody outside the church to agree. He is what we call a prophet. His sermons like this are not expected to be beneficial to anybody but the church.

I'm a Christian, so you can imagine that being both an Atheist and Agnostic sounds insane to somebody like me.....explanation?

  • @CullenJWebb A prevailing misconception is that there's a sliding scale with theism on one end, atheism on the other and agnosticism in the middle. But it's not what agnosticism means at all. Agnosticism means without knowledge and atheism means without belief.

An agnostic atheist does not claim to know absolutes--only that without evidence there is no reason to believe. An agnostic theist believes without claiming to know. Both groups are the more intellectually honest.

  • @socksumi

You don't believe in absolutes? I find that a difficult thing in itself to believe.

If I could provide evidence for the existence of a God, would you then consider yourself agnostic?
