  • VERY NICE VIDEO FOR PIGEON LOVERS THANKS FOR SHARING .

  • you talk to much

  • Seriously one of the BEST explanations and demonstrations of proper "sqeaker"/ baby pigeon feedings I've ever seen! Good job man! You explain the crop, etc, etc nicely. You should do one on tube/force feeding for EMERGENCIES/sick/injured adults who are too weak or sick to eat :) Again, nice video!

  • @mova121

Thank you for the Positive input!

  • hey dude what is your email?

  • Glad to hear stories like that! Glad to help.

    Best wishes, Terry

  • @RotorMedic7 is it still alive

  • awesome, just found a baby pidgeon, fell right in front of me while walking my dogs, was concerned about what to do for feeding it, this helps greatly, thanks people!

  • HI

Could you please write down the food you give

    to the baby bird,

    Thank a lot.

  • Thank You, you have helped my little friend greatly !

  • I used a small hand-fed pigeons in the method is more simple.

Need is a plastic bag, open the mouth of a small pigeon can be fed into the hole.

  • THIS IS GOD SENT. thank youu

  • very helpful

  • OMG thank you so much! Just found a little fello in my barn, mother was killed by the cats. :(

Know I know how to make feeding less stressful for it!

  • Exellent job. Secret to having them open their beak is to stick the beak between your middle finger and index finger with your non dominant hand so you can see your palm and beak only. with dominant hand take the syringe and tap the bottom of squabs beak ( Secret to feeding a pigeon). The squab will then open its mouth and then squirt some food into the mouth. Natural behavior. Simulate parents open mouth, parents tongues stimulate the squab under their beak to open and feed. Regurgitate.

  • @ntxooly

Thank you. Sounds like you have some very helpful information as well. Thanks for sharing this info! ;)

  • @ntxooly thank you my baby is eating finally !

  • Oops - forgot to say - that although we have a dull-emitter heat lamp we use a well-wrapped hot water bottle most often for baby pigeons as they like to snuggle up to something warm and unlike chicks they can't walk away if it gets too hot. If the baby is too young to have grown feathers then they need an extra source of warmth.

  • Cheers - glad to be of help. We've also managed to keep babies going on 3 feeds/day if you all have to be at work or school. First feed before leaving for work, 2nd when kids get home from school - say 4-5p.m. and then 3rd feed about 7p.m. , then lights out for the baby!

I hope Penny the pigeon is still with you as pigeons do make wonderful friends.

  • For those of you that may have OTHER suggestions that can HELP PLEASE post! Thank you.

  • We keep pet pigeons and chickens and have found that with abandoned and rescued babies a mix of chick crumbs (poultry food for young chicks) made into a porridge with hot water works fine. Just remember it's baby food and test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before you feed the baby. In the U.K. another product available from pet shops is Egg Biscuit - used as a feed for exotic caged birds, trouble is it contains battery eggs which isn't really ethical.
