Not quite sure why people are saying plucking a piano's strings are bad for it. It doesn't affect the sound or quality of the piano, and most tuners will pluck the strings to check their tautness and therefore resonance.

dude, you don't NEED lessons in anything to be good. dont let money hinder you from enjoying music. all you need is ears to listen and a heart to play. i've never had a lesson but had my fair share of recitals. do NOT let a lack of instruction get in your way.
