  • What a classic! So nostalgic, my mind is longing for those years... Thank you so much for putting this gem on!

  • @TheJaikishanS Thanks.

  • Zaidi saheb, I'm sure that Your fans would like to hear your instrumental version of these two beautiful songs from old film PATRANI.

    1. Kabhi to Aa....Oh sapnaon mein aanewaley kabhi to aa

    2. Arey koi aayey....Gori ki payal baaje

You are doing great job zaidi saheb. Keep it up

    Regards,

    Yawar

  • Wallah what a song by Lataji ! Can you please upload some Lata hits from S-J's 'Patrani' direct from 78 rpm records. The vcd of this film released by Priya is very bad, quality-wise. Thanks.

  • @TheAnupam777 Right now I do not have these records but I will try to find them out. Thanks.

  • MADHU (1959)

KARAN DIWAN, MEENA KUMARI, JAGDISH SETHI, KUMKUM, SALIM BOSE, SUNDER

    Produced By: MAYA ART PICTURES

    Directed By: G. MUKHERJEE & S. BANNERJEE

    Music By: ROSHAN

Dear Zaidiji, what a song you have uploaded. I think after Anil Biswasji, Roshan was one who really utilise Lata's voice as well as nurtured his voice. What do you think ?

  • @vikasvn1971 It is a great song indeed and Roshan was a brilliant MD. Thanks.

  • thank you for posting this lovely song.

  • @studer3500 thanks for appreciating this song.

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • Really beautiful song with powerful lyrics .

    Thanks for the upload.

  • Thanks for liking the song.

  • Oh, what a warm-hearted message! Inshallah, one hopes one can get together with fellow music lovers and thank them in person for the joy they spread around. And it would, of course, be a delight to see Lahore, the beautiful city so closely connected to my own parents' and grandparents' lives in the past. Thank you so much again, Zaidi Saheb.

  • After grading papers, I was ready for some joy. A sister-like friend's recovery from a nasty flu,a fresh cup of tea, a French pastry, and now this song-- all this makes me feel anew that God is in His Heaven and life is good down here. The old record is a bit scratchy, but the sweetness of Lataji's voice under Roshan's wonderful baton, triumphs like a crystal-clear brook running over and around all the minor rocks in its way. A lovely end to my workday, Zaidi Saheb. Thank you.

  • Zaidi Saheb Sham Ko Kiuen Lahore Yaad Kera Dia...

Thanks Chamogaa Gi for forwarding it to me...

  • Your active contribution of songs to the YT every now and then is a matter of great pleasure. While posting songs of 'Jawani ki hawa" you have not included "Bahar leke aaye" by Asha. Perhaps you have kept it for a second surprise to the viewers, but please don't keep them waiting too long. Yes, Lahore is one of the finest cities of the world. Please come by, if you have any associations here and be my guest.

    Best Regards.

  • Thank You Very much for sharing this beautiful Gem and Many thanks to Zaidi Sahab too for this fantastic post ! Really appreciated !! Lata Ji's Voice is alwats very sweet to hear :)

    Thanks once again !

    Regards,

    Dr.Maina

  • Dear Chamogaaji/ Dr.Maina1900 This is in continuation of my reply.Thank you for liking the song which is really a wonderful composition. Even the hum and scratchy noises in such songs, do not appear so disagreeable to the ear, because of their association with our childhood memories. Most of the 78 RPM records those days, used to be a bit worn out and played on spring loaded manual gramophone machines. One felt proud and privileged for owning that equipment, too

  • Dear Chamogaaji My reply has gone to the bottom due to default settings/or perhaps my ignorance. However, your comment has reminded me of the song "Kal kal chhal chhal behti jaon" from the film "Samrat Chandargupt'. This is how you sort of create music or spearhead with your choice of words. Whenever you visit India, please come to Lahore for sometime, and be my guest. Thank you, regards,

    Qasim Zaidi
