my cockatiel: Willy, had the same unfortunate thing happened to him; he was suffering and we tried to feed him with bread and water but he just got worse; I live in South America and we can't do that kind of surgeries in here, we also had to choose to put him to sleep. we had a bird die in 2009 i cried for 3 days 2009 was the worst year of my life but i saw my moms cockiteil stonewall (age now 22 or 23) so i got a picture of him he is a good bird and would take treats my mom's tongue other than we both have and had a great bird in our life
