Some people are so crippled with hate sometimes that all they think about is that people of Africa cannot achieve anything special. Well as all can see, Leila is not white or European for that matter. She's black and African. And ask her who she thinks she is? I am not agree. In Angola there has always been mix people, like Brasilian or American people. Because of very long civil war most of them went abroad to live. I am mixed myself. There are people think I am an Italian, Spanish or Brasilian, for example. So it is normal in Angola, because Portuguese and Angola Native people got married and got children. There has some Cape Vert people went to Angola long time ago but it was a minimum. The most beautiful people I have seen in Angola.

Nao e atoa, que Angola deu uma miss Portugal, por volta de 1972, e estava para dar uma segunda. So nao conteceu porque a situacao politica mudou. A maioria dessas pessoas foi viver para o Portugal devido a guerra. Portugal ganhou muito com isso. A maioria das pessoas que voce na televisao actualmente vem do campo.

I found it interesting, Leila means 'black as the night' in Arabian. Luliana comes from the old Lulian School in South of Spain, which taught Arabian to priests, as a way of helping them to convert new Christians.

If people want to dig into her background, I don't see anything wrong with that. No one is trying to escape her blackness, but if she is part Portuguese that is cool as well since she already speaks the language and has a Portuguese last name. It's an issue of heritage or ethnicity more than race. The black race is very diverse.
