  • i have a plane very similar to this one..its a tower hobbies 60 with a 90 engine..i added flaperons to mine and it slowed down very nicely. if you continue to fly in the neighborhood you might wanna think about it.

  • people in my neighborhood would shit a brick, it someone tried a stunt like that! lol

  • @bjrowserfly

I have the same model and I have a question. Has the antenna wire got to be outstretched?

    Awesome video btw!

Hello - I'm still flying on the FM-band, so my transmitter antenna needs to be extended. The new 2.4GHz/Spread Spectrum transmitters can use the stub antenna that doesn't require a long extension.

Same thing goes for the airplane antenna. I bring my antenna out just behind the main wing and then attach the end of the antenna to the top of the vertical stab.

  • @bjrowserfly Thanks!

  • this is good.ı want same model buy.

  • Thats some great flying. I have a phantom firebird, and I'm scared to fly it in my neighborhood. I need you to show me how to fly a superstar. Just traded for one, and have never flown a gas rc.

  • @skinengine

Hey there. If you felt EXTREMELY comfortable flying the Phantom and could land it cleanly every time, you MIGHT think about taking the Superstar out alone...if not, definitely grab someone who's flown larger airplanes and hook up a trainer cord (I'm talking from experience here, crashing isn't fun). No sense risking the airplane. I don't recall if the Phantom has ailerons or not, but it's definitely a bit different.

Good luck, post the video of your maiden flight!!

  • Muy buen video de un piloto excelente y del mejor avion entrenador del mundo, el superstar 40 de Hobbico. Yo vuelo uno igual con motor M v v s o.40 , una maza

  • @draeromodelista

Thanks! (and thank you "Google Translate")

  • i just got one im stoked for it

  • @420letsgethigh420

It's a great little trainer, I've basically flown the covering off of mine...probably has 70 or 80 hours of flying on it. If you're new to flying, make sure you have someone help you learn, otherwise you'll end up with a $100 pile of useless balsa wood! What motor are you putting in it? Good luck!

  • @bjrowserfly just got on from my friend i am getting a glow starter and a fuel pump tromrow then fly sat cant wait!!!

  • you are reealy good pilot respect!!!!! miracle landing eaaaa!!!

  • your a dumb ass. its peeps like you fucking this hobby up.. i bet ama loves this. this is how kids/cars/homes get hit. you must work on being stupid.

  • @VampeD4 i agree this is the kid of idiots that should not be flying

  • So far the neighbors haven't said anything...probably because they're not aware of what would happen if I hit their house or vehicle! They think it's pretty cool to see it fly past (although a bit noisy).

It wasn't the smartest thing in the world to do, but I didn't have enough time to go to the field that day. If I'd had any engine problems my options would've been very limited. I doubt I'll do it again.

  • Wow that's so great you could land it there. NIce!!!! Are your neighbors ok with you flying your plane in the street? Greetings form Oklahoma!!!!
