Lot of opinions about accident while it was actual on media, nowadays nobody of net pilots comments it. Anybody about real problems with plane while approach? Same lack of intress for Airbus 330-300 accident at Tripoli..Lot of shortfucks and no intress about the whole history..sorry for You girlfriends(if You have any), snapshotgues;)
the theme with the wake turbulence is not really cleared. the explanations which is made does not mention the continental B757 flew the same route just seconds ago. why not? it is famous that you dont let a big and a small plane use the same route because of the danger of wake turbulences, it is also known that amsterdam have MADE this mistake. so, why the Reports says NO WORD about the big B757 just before the Turkish? i smell a kind of "cover up" there.
it is no vortex or wake turbulence wake turbulence is only dangerous for single engine propell aircrafts like cessna or something, so even there was wake turbulence it is not a danger for a B737
wake turbulence can affect any aircraft nif strong enough. type in air crash investigation - slammed to the ground, i think it was a dc10 that flew through wake turbulence and was sllammed to the ground just before the runway.
@zfreak90 Im afraid it is mate, Check out the 737 that had its tail ripped off at long island near new york and crashed into a housing state becz of wake turbulence from a 747!!!!
@KimiHamilton123 yes true, but this plane crashed bcse fault reading of altitude and the pilots noticed it too late, they were like 15 knots below stall speed, it was too late then, that is wht some maintenance people told me
Anyone having trouble with this video, you're hearing at least two different controllers on the same scanner. It's picking up both EHAM Tower and the Amsterdam TRACON (approach/departure control), best as I can tell. Going back to my North American airspace, where the accents are still terrible and pilots still indecipherable!
On a second listen, I could hear Clearance I think -- a third controller -- or whatever the European equivalents are to the American-centric terminology I'm spitting.
that they crash so close to the airport gives me the feeling that, the crew used their fuel maybe until the last drop of fuel, in order to cooperate with the airport solving their "major" problem at the airport, because the turkish crew thought it is gonna be ok, this is surely a risk out of good will... such things happen in every airport, this time it went bad, but i tell ya, the crews and controllers help each other, by taking a little risk, this wont end by this incident.
how many times did the airport let the turkish plane tour around the airport in the air?... they are talking of having major problems, so they might have taken too long time to solve this prob out. but then again, all planes are donated with many audio and visual signal reporting of the fuel. if the plane was gone out of fuel, in the cockpit they might have known it since 10 minutes in advance...this one is an interesting incident.
yeah in 25 years turkish airways had 9 deadly crashes.. almost 900 people died in 25 years.. thats alot, if you would look at KLM they had 1 crash in 25 years.. altough 600 people died at it.. its the tenerife disaster. PNM American plane crashed into the KLM, both big 747's. its one of the biggest plane disaster EVER
The KLM crashed into the PanAm, not the PanAm into the KLM! The KLM pilot ignored an order, and while the PanAm was still taxiing on the runway the KLM took off
you cannot generalize just because of you see the turks bad at all, that the turkish airlines crashed this much or so, american airlines crashed more than the turkish, but you dont think there this way. you talk so because you have diffirent backgropunds, and use the incident for your purpose....shame on you.
besides....the teneriffa Accident happened because the Captain of KLM started take off Roll without being permitted by the tower. there was just only one Runway in teneriffa and the planes had to use the very same runway in order to taxi for the take off roll. and the Panam was still taxiing to the top of the runway...
No Jennifer do not scare. Turkish Airlines is a big company and they have experianced crew. Also a Star Alliance member. This is an bad accident no body knows why it was happened. This can be for all airlines.

They found the crash was caused by faulty radio altimeter. The Boeing Company was found 80% guilty.

If you analyze flight/accident ratio, you will see that Turkish Airlines is more secure than others.

So? Even the most experienced pilots make mistakes. KLM pilots have done it, doesn't mean KLM is a bad company.
