@emdubinsky u can buy it just for ur hammy at a pet store to make sure its safe instead of taking regular sand outside.

DUH but its made of glass if it breaks it'll scrape your hamster, i use a transparent plastic box with a orange cover, and the cover is too heavy for hammy to open, it has little slits on cove to breath, and locks but i only use them for ensuring that the sand doesn't fall out after the dust buth. and the bath box was actually before used to carry my little sister's barbie!

the best thing to use it soft wood shavings that are not to fine but springy thats what i recamend anyway

DO NOT USE DUST. i know you posted this 2 months ago, but for further notice and to other people, DO NOT USE DUST. It can kill poor little hammies. ): It's WAYYY too fine. Chinchilla sand is the best you can get for them. Regular sand is too rough, and any kind of dust is too fine.
