@sergiopsp How come? At 0:50 - 1:10 you could have done that without the tool being on that 45-ish degree angle. And then just continue diging inwards until the spiral is hollow.

I know it depends on alot of things, but very roughly, how much does it cost to CNC a relatively complicated 3D shape out of a block of 100*50*50cm stone (marble or granite)?
it has only one hole for pipes through out the block. the rest is external shaping.
do you calculate the price based on how many hours it takes for the machine?
@sergiopsp LIKE THAT ... do you speak engrish? you seem to know about the details involved in the piece above ... so how much would it cost to have a column LIKE THAT made ... IE the one you even answered your own question on "Depends on the material" "Quarella MARMO-RESINA MINIGRANA block"

@sergiopsp check out this video of someone making a hollow spiral using only a 4th axis machine watch?v=FEub-wIIuqo&NR=1

@sergiopsp it is maybe impossible to make such a column on a 4 axis one, although 4 axis machines have lathe options for making of columns...

will you need to pulish the stone afterwards?

How much would it cost to have a column like that made ?
rocketmagnet 2 years ago
Depend on the material, the tools and the working programs.
sergiopsp 2 years ago
What would be the price for that exact same column?
