  • Anyone know how many suspects there are that you have to memorize for the memory test and for the drivers prerequisite do you have to have a class 5 or will a class 5N be ok?

    Thanks.

  • The exam wasn't that bad.

I took it twice I passed both times but the first time my score wasn't high enough to be competitive although i did still pass. The second time I did very well, like every exam in history its easier the second time you do it.

Oh and I'm running the PARE soon.

    Wish me luck.

  • I have written the RPAT 3 times scoring 4.44, 4.45 and 4.55. I did everything possible to enhance candidacy. Eg. tried auxiliaries but told there was no funding, I found outside funding but was then told that there was no time, then I could'nt get a call returned. Someone I know was accepted into the auxiliaries, and ultimately as a reg member, because of a personal connection. While RPAT score may play a role belive me when I tell you that you are better off to be related to or knowing someone.

  • 19?? Lol that guy's like 30

  • Isn't there Mathematics on this Examination sir?

  • I am a ex-stoner, I quit weed two weeks ago and plan to keep it that way, I will apply to the RCMP next year, I work out daily and am in good physical shape. Will they accept me even though I would have been clean for a year?? Ps. I shaved my head so they can't find traces in my hair, plz someone help

  • @manudemon I don't know if this question has already been answered but here's my answer. LIE!!! I have been told by numerous friends in the O.P.P. to LIE! Yes I know it is bad but unless you've been arrested or charged with it don't admit it. They will still look at you like you're a stoner. If I could give 1 more piece of advice, if your living with friends/family who smoke up...move out. It can still be in your system when they do the medical.

  • @manudemon here in canada they overlook those things, they wouldnt prefer that youve had a slight drug past but if you say youve smoked a bit of weed growing up it tends to be overlooked, as long as you dont lie

  • it's 3 hrs not 1.5 I passed mine too over a year ago

  • I passed my RPAT !!! :)) It wasn't that hard...

  • I missed the P.O.S.T test in california by 2 points. Is the difference between a point a few questions wrong or right and is it hard to get two more points right on the test? I scored high enough to go to the academy and for a few police departments but not for the one I wanted. Any advice will be great.

  • hey.... when do I get to use a tazer on innocent people, then get off scot free....? Sign me up!!!

  • the guy was freaking out and needed to calm down.. im not saying it was the right choice.. but it was the choice that happend when you are faced with life or death sitiations everyday id much rather take my chances with a tazer then a gun 99 percent of the time a tazer doesnt kill someone. Look at rcmp stats for fatality its very little comparased to other agencys. Think of it as you having a head ache i give you advil your alergic to advil you die its not my fault i most of the time it helps.

  • @TheHickupp Never. The RCMP dont use tazers on innocent people, only criminals.

  • what type of math questions?

  • BASIC MATHEMATICS ONLY

but you are gonna be very nervous and you got to do it quick or you woan't have enough time

  • How much and what type of math is in the problem solving section? For anyone who has done it :)

  • yea i was wondering i have tried drugs and expiremented a few years ago im clean now i was wondering would that have any effect on my trying to get into the rcmp? i would be up front about it but im not sure if that is even enough?

  • i went to a seminar yesterday, they said that you need to wait at least a year after doing soft drugs, and 3 years after doing hard drugs to take the exam.

  • soft drugs take 6 months to disapear hard drugs take 3 months to disapear in your blood 3 years is prolly for heroin or things like that

  • Comment removed

  • If you are honest about your past thats all they want. They hate lying and will find the truth so come clean with them and be good.

  • yeah man, go for it... i'm just waiting to get to depot and as long as you've been clean for a year, go for it... i know people who have been in the same boat and as long as you can admit it to them it's okay

  • "enitre exam takes about an hour and a half to write".. it took me the whole 3 hours up to scribbling in the last bubble at the last second! I've been in university for 3 years now and this test is way more difficult than most I have taken. Study if you like, I did, but you can't study for most IQ style questions it asks. Don't get discouraged though, they mark on a curve.

  • True that, took me the full 3 hours too, but I got accepted. ^^

  • You can't be accepted as a police officer without a full pardon for all criminal convictions. That being said, police services will still look at the crime that you committed and the magnitude of the infraction. I'm not sure what the situation was with your case, but unless there is some sort of very significant explanation, I don't think you would be considered by a police service.

  • For people that into bodybuilding who consume "legal" oral prohormones, do they have anything to worry about? Will the drug tests be testing for prohormones?

  • Do candidates get favors when they participate in freemasonry!?

  • Not a chance to the guy below me, they said no to me cause i smoked marijuana once.

  • Hey, I'm thinking of Applying to the RCMP very soon. I have researched the RPAT Exam, and also prepared for the PARE test, My issue is i have a Criminal Record for (Possession of Substance-Cocaine) 4 years ago. I was wondering is it still possible for me to get a career in the Police/RCMP force ?

  • It was so easy. Grammer a 4th can do, memory is too easy, Spelling was pathetic easy. the only problems is not enough time cuz some are hard. Logical is easy any common sence ppl have those questions are easy

  • I bought the Canadian Police Officer Exam book by Police Prep. I found it very very helpful. I write my test tommorow and I shall let you know how I do. Plus the book is $75.00 cheaper then the internet package. good luck to everyone!

  • what other videos do you have that are up that have more of a detailed decription or even more like classes on the rpat testing

  • If you are preparing to write the RCMP test, I would recommend the PolicePrep RCMP training program. When you register to PolicePrep you will have access to 5 full length simulated RCMP RPAT exams, detailed solutions for each question, and teaching material. The program is designed to help you score high marks on the real RCMP test.

  • Thanks for the post. I'm scheduled to write the exam on December 29th. Do they charge a fee for the exam?

  • The registration fee for the RCMP training program is $147. When you register to PolicePrep you will have access to 5 full length simulated RCMP RPAT exams, detailed solutions for each question, and teaching material. The program is designed to help you score high marks on the real RCMP test.
