Good luck man, I just did mine on thursday. I'm going for Artillery, as for what unit I'll be posted in; I won't have any idea until after Basic. But I'm hoping to either up up being posted in Petawawa or Gagetown.
i am still thinking closely to artillery or infantry. artillery takes more skill as far as drills go from what i've been told. but at the same time i feel very weird if i am an artillery guy safely behind the frontlines while the infantry are the ones that risk getting killed.
We're not always safely behind the lines. We usually get sent out to do recce, to watch the shells fall. Make sure they're hitting the mark. Also some of the artillery batteries are mobile; so we actually go out in the field to give fire support.

Look up the excalibur, they have technology to detonate in the air causing much more damage to personnel, that too fires in the 777

How much "damage" does a M777 Howitzer do ? Is it a more powerfull then a Leapord round or a M1 Abraham round ?

a leopard tank and a abrams tank fire a 120mm. and the m777 fires a 155.round.

Artillery by no means is safe you're like a siting duck for air strikes and snipers. These artillery men are brave people doing what they do.
