    /watch?v=2pdPCX2HKps

  • To jest bardzo piękne !!! Otrzymałem link do tego wyjątkowego pliku od Pana Zbigniewa M.

Od konesera piękna i cud muzyki.

    Dziekuję Panie Zbigniewie.

  • @flknstky Precisely, I guess youngsters are just aching to prove how different they are by saying such things.

  • This song was made in the predictions the Brothers Four made about how the economy would fail in 2008. Now that this has happened, prepare for a million years of jello in everyone's pants. This will be a frightening time, and I pray that anyone who can run away from jello in ones pants then good. If you can't then JELLO!

  • @a1legmorshu More than 50 years this song make me get wonderful about beautyful fiel in England

  • @peterpanda103 Yeah, like I said, jello.

  • This song takes me back to a simpler time in my life when everything moved at a slower pace,it was not the hurry up I want it yesterday attitude, it was a time of respect for other people and their property, a time where most people did business with a handshake , a time when the whole family sat down and ate dinner together. it was a time of an innoconce in this country that has long since been lost. I was 7 years old when this song came out and it is still one of my favorites.

  • @SUPERCLYDER I know just how you feel. Sixty-three now...and how it was seems like an awful long time ago. We used to talk to each other face to face. No one seemed to do better than anyone else and everyone was happy with that. Seems a long time ago....no one has the time to go back, and fewer and fewer remember that time.

  • love this

  • @brick897 Indeed, may they enjoy tunes like these while they rest.

  • @clarkzie100 I see these comments comparing beautiful music of past decades on any video I watch, whether it be Tony Bennett or Sting, with the "music of today". They are lovely tracks of their time and let's not ruin their sanctity by putting them aside artists who cater to an entirely different target audience in a different age :)

  • @piersquare2 well said;my great-grandfathers differed in opinion through their own circumstances;you see 1 of them knocked up an irish migrant girl in manchester, but my great-grand uncle was a naval captain in wwII,so each to their own,i hope thay all have peace in heaven

  • @piersquare2 Thank you! I couldn't have said it better myself. Every single track on youtube has silly posts bemoaning the "music of today". Every age has the sublime and superficial.

  • i only know... there's nothing here for me...

  • thumbs up if your grandmother told you about this song.

  • all you hear now a day's is stuff you can't understand.. At least you can understand a beautiful song like this...

  • I love this song!!!

  • I've had this song stuck in my head since my aunt played it on her old record player. Very cool. Had to look it up and see what it was called. :) Thank you for posting this.

  • i remember my papa singin ds song:) i really miss him.

  • otro tema de este conjunto maravilloso.

  • this is my favorite version of green fields---> /watch?v=aGaVYi_wRhw&feature=channel_video_title

BEWARE: dont listen to it if you're closed-minded about how it has to sound old to be good.

  • My dad used to sang this to me when I was still a baby... T_T

  • melancholic song played by the beach. A beach empty on the one side but full on the other side..contradictions that seize to be percieved as contradictions . . .

  • Even the song is too old its still nice :) My father dedicated this song to my mother. Thanks for uploading it..

  • It makes me weep. Why?

  • this one very well prompted me to learn the guitar and emulate the song's progression,l remember, and it was so impossible to sound like it then. Many years later, as l waited for my voice to mellow...l still sounded like a tomcat ...so l just let the others sing it,with me in the shadows and my guitar.. yeah, the guitar part l did well, at least, thats what they tell me. nubayann?

  • For Christmas 1964 my father gave me and my sister a tape recorder. This was the song recorded on the tape that came with the recorder. My father said,it was JFK-s favorite. It sure is mine, forever.

  • @sandortecsy This album was my father's favourite, and when Dad came home on weekends, we'd all gather around the hi-fi to listen to the Brothers Four! It was the highlight of our week!

  • One Word..... WooooooooW

  • Reminds me of the time Manong Rudy's group (Trolls?) use to sing this song at contest

  • Excellent qualilty. Thank you for sharing it :-)

  • Limeliters sang a song w/ a similar theme. I believe it was called "Once Was The Time of Man" At least those were some of the lyrics.

"Once there were trees & a river. Once there was grass where you stand. Once there were songs about right instead of wrong. Once was the time of man.

We heard the (rumbling?)of thunder. We saw the cloud rise at dawn, then came the rain as we watched & prayed in vain. Then all was still all was gone..."

  • ♪心が洗われます。

  • ohhhh i love this song so much, it's taking me back 20 years ago of my life alot of things going on, thanks for this song.

  • One of my favorites. I picked up the 45RPM over 25 years ago. Before that, I would hear it now and then through the years. It always haunted me and the DJ's who played it failed to mention who sang it. Finally, one of them did.

This CD sounds a lot better than my 45! Thanks!

  • This is my dad's favorite song, and for some reason I think I can feel the same nostalgia listening to this song! :) Thank you for posting it up!

  • Love this song it's so great to hear it again

  • my music teacher has been teaching me this song for so long i have started to dislike it even do it is a good song:(

  • The last chorus in your lyric post is wrong. Should read - "But I'll keep on waiting 'til you return".

    just a tip. : )

  • @TheMajkrom what lyrics?

  • I love this song even when I was young then till now. Back those days we don't have TV and all we have is radio. I love the lyrics and sat next to our radio and write words for words until I got all the lyrics correct. Then one day I finally I got all the notes in my head and all the lyrics and start singing along with the four brothers. I was so happy! I missed our farm and long to go back but it's so far away separated by thousand of miles of ocean and land. Those are memories of long ago.

  • Beautiful and unforgettable song. I'm sure everybody remember it.

  • I remember hearing this as a kid. Haven't heard it in years. It's just as I remember it. Thanks for uploading this.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I fell in love with this song as a child and had not heard it for years. It was one of my favorites.

  • I love this song since I was a young. Music and melody are truly haunting.

  • GREENFIELDS ARE GONE NOW! Gone because of all those modernizations brought by technologies! In exchange of all the conveniences we have now is the simple life that we used to enjoy before.... Sad, so sad!

  • Back during the days when life was still so simple and yet, so beautiful....

  • This is now my... 15-20th time in a row that I've listened to this. Not even bored the slightest bit.

  • I recorded this song with3 others in 5th grade at orchard ridge school madison wi. I played the guitar renne ron danny and mike. mr ruffler helped us. miss themmmmmmmm

  • This song has reached the zenith of perfection! It is the unsurpassable, the all time most beautiful one in existence.

And the next one in line is the Sound of Silence by Paul Simmons.

  • The most beautiful song of the century

  • thanks for super quality version!

  • This is so depressing...

    I love it!

  • You can't be happy while your heart's on the roam...

You can't be happy until you bring it home...

  • So Nice! Thank you!

  • Thanks for posting. An old favorite!

  • GREENFIELDS. Reminiscence. I sang this song at the Moncada town plaza during the Plebeian Axademy foundation anniversary first night in 1971(March). It was our last year in Plebeian. I dedicate this song to Engr. Cleto Obillo, our classmate and my good friend of 43 long years. He loved the farm, settled with his wife Mina ( an Ilocana from Buguey, Cagayan) in Aringin, Moncada, and raised their children Marc, Eugene, and Erika there - in the greenfields. - NORBERTO L. MERCADO

  • Un peu de douceur dans notre monde de brutes! Merci!!!

  • Fascinating this odd harmony!

    Great!!!

  • cool

  • Beautiful.

  • Belle vidéo qui s'accorde bien avec le titre Français "verte campagne"

    Merci

  • Thanks for posting the lyrics. A very old favourite that my brother who passed away used to sing and play on the guitar. It was a great memory to sing along.
