  • That's wrong those which were found in iraq were not those from Austria. They proved it with the serial numbers on each weapon. (Wikipedia)

  • how is this gun compared to an barrett m99 and an gepard m1 ?

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990 While I haven't had an opportunity to get a close look at the Gepard, it has a more efficient muzzle brake, and is capable of slightly more accuracy than a Barret M99.

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990 It is more accurate than those two.

  • @ENGLEESH

    Why shame?

The business was in line with international law and legal.

What makes the Iran with the weapons is not our problem.

Amerika was in the past not squeamish with your own arms trade.

The war in Iraq is your own misery. Every dead allied soldier go on your account.

  • @Grimjau not only that, it is clear that they were not from the trade with iran. the serial numbers proofed that.

  • Die Druckwelle des Kompensators hat den Lichtschalter abgedreht

  • 3900 € here in Luxembourg ^^

  • wow...its not expensive :S and that dangerous

  • we got thos at our gun store for $4500.00

  • shame austria sold 800 of these to the IRANIAN police force and they have somehow ended up killing allied soldiers in IRAQ

  • Now that's bad luck. But it shows: The gun works great...

  • xD!

  • @SP21Barak cia say's other wise

  • @SP21Barak the serial numbers were not the same. the company that made them patten had ran out and many other countries are making the same weapon

  • article Wiener Zeitung dated 03/29/2007:

US forces contradict newspaper report: "No Austrian weapons found with terrorists."

    By Alexander U. Mathé

Vienna. Having started as Steyrgate now ends up as a soap bubble. An English newspaper had reported in February that armour piercing sniper rifles made by the Austrian company Steyr Mannlicher were found in the hands of Iraqi terrorists. But now the US Central Command, being responsible for the forces at the golf, is contrary with that article.

  • but that's not our fault, we sell them to the iraqis, and the amis knew that what the're dealing with...

and i think that the american army is selling their guns too, aren't they? i bet that many of the terrorists, rebels, etc. have m16, m14 or m4 rifles.

  • US is the biggest arms dealer after Russia I think, it is definately in the top 3. Most terrorist groups don't want to pay the high prices of the M16 etc when they can buy an AK for under $200 on the market.

  • also Italy is a big dealer, for landmines it had been the number one for 20-30 years, and the beretta group owns a lot of firearm factories

  • @ENGLEESH Shame, that HS .50 rifles are banned in Austria...

  • @sowi3t

thats because astria is lacking a second amendment

  • @ENGLEESH

Not only iraq.... not saying much more, but you get the general idea.

  • @ENGLEESH

i´m austrian and even though they ordered 800, steyr sold not even close to 100 of these to the iranian police. Beside this fact the weapons which were used killing soliders in iraq where duplicates never produced or sold by steyr. Since the patent run out on this gun a lot of other weapon lobbys started to produce it.

  • @ENGLEESH Steyr-Mannlicher checked the serial numbers on captured enemy rifles. they were not austrian-made. they were copies from somewhere else.

  • where can 1 buy 1 at got to keep the beaner pop down

  • Check with your local FFL dealer for more information.

  • rofl

  • i don't even want to think how loud that would be indoors.
