So I woke up to hearing fire trucks and saw a red glow coming in my windows. I ran out side to see what was going on. So focused on the deck fire next door I never saw the hose line 2 feet out on the ground from the bottom of my steps. I tripped over the hose and was caught in the arms of a passing fire fighter. I wonder what kind of flack he took when he got back to the station. Good new is the deck fire was out in like 5 minutes and it did not spread to my neighbors house.
We had a guy running in the truck bays when a call came out. Went to turn in between two trucks and foot went out from under him. He ended up under the trucks rear end.
Now we ask him how the underside of the trucks looks or something similar every chance we get. :)
I made knock down in a house, ran out to the rig for a heat cam and fell right on my face from ice on the way back in.. got up and did the rest of my job, heading back the the station expecting my brothers to knock me for it and nothing.. not a word about it, thought they didn't see it.. UNTIL i got out of the rig at the station and they started! "watch your step, we know how you like to smack the ground running" haha good times.
this house caught fire before back in the 80s 90s some firefighter got trapped on the second floor window where that ac is before it used to be a small square one luckily he was able to squeeze through and get out in time
