Great song, but i can't help but disagree with it's message. My first disagreement is that, while America undoubtedly has had it's share of injustices, he seems to hold it above far worse examples in Europe, Asia and the Middle East - for example Mauritania where slavery was legal until 1974, the song also refuses to acknowledge America's contribution to the world - it's foundation was the first time in human history a society has thrown off it's shackles and become free.

My initial post was to point out that this song uses the negatives and ignores the positives of the US. That brainless youtube users comment 'dis is da truth' and such. Great song, but i can't help but disagree with it's message. My first disagreement is that, while America undoubtedly has had it's share of injustices, he seems to hold it above far worse examples in Europe, Asia and the Middle East - for example Mauritania where slavery was legal until 1974, the song also refuses to acknowledge America's contribution to the world - it's foundation was the first time in human history a society has thrown off it's shackles and become free.
