remember this track well - fantastic tune!. reminds me of trying to make it in the world. i had just left uni and the recession was on - was tough to get a job. i then left home to work and this reminded me of my family as the harder i tried the further away from me they were slipping and the harsh realities of life and being a grown up sank in. some may see this as a pop song but for me it was much more deep and meaningful and was about life although it may be a love song in reality...

This is funny to me, always makes me laugh. It starts as a song someone has written as a blaringly obvious kind of archetype pastiche of the imaginary perfect British Eurovision Song Contest winner (few British winners in these times, and the Irish were about to run away with it for years).
