I have had German Shepherds since my daughter was age 1. I first got them for security, now I just love them and can't imagine life without a shepherd. I have 3 dogs now; a GSD, a husky/wolf, and a beagle mix. Love them all. They all get along, but they don't play together. They go to the park and see their friends for play.

@Stngraybch GSD's are the best dog's i've shared my life with but i've had other breed's too but we keep going back to the GSD's lol both my Ovcharka's like to play with my GSD but they rarely play with each other !

I'm sorry for your loss. Gorgeous dog. I have been through it. I have a German Shepherd also. I love them. Mina is a husky/wolf dog from Alaska. She objects when she doesn't want to do something.

@Stngraybch they're a livestock guardian and a large breed my male is over 35inch and at a guess i'd say around 160-170lbs in weight and they're very devoted to their family much to the exclusion of stranger's and need to be watched around visitor's lol we got him from a breeder in Kent england !
