@jzj74 well..you could actually just play the mp3 on your computer and sample in maschine as it plays....BUT..you must have a way to record your computers internal sounds... thats goes for people who sample YT vids also. For instance..an audio interface with loopback recording makes life so much easier...just sample ANYTHING you want.

If your mp3 is in itunes all you need to do is this if you can not be arsed to dl Audacity...

You just need to make your import settings in itunes preferences to .wav. Once you have done that, right click a track and choose convert to wave from the drop down. Then just drag it out of itunes.

i down loaded audacity and that lame program wont down load i had it but for some reason it wouldnt work right @ first so i had to take it of my computer and i then tried it again and audacity is in instailed but that lame program wont instial for some reason

@CoachRob619 you have to switch the sample from oneshot to adst, if you get out of sampling mode and use the arrow buttons underneath the sampling buttons you can scroll over to change it from oneshot to adst

The samples you trim and assign to pads, can the program actually chop them or do they remain part of the main sample? When you copy over to another pad, is the sample duplicated as well?

What if you needed stems? Does it rewire? Support Recycle files?

I owned the 60 years ago. I would roll with Maschine. I have nothing against the MPC series... I owned the 60 - 2000 - 3000 - and the 500 and in my opinion you can do wayyyy more with Maschine..even simply because of the fact that the technology is many times advanced compared to when the 60 came out. Just my opinion.

Also I got that sampling down and maschine has stop crashing on me. That on screen and in video capture is nice. I found a program for mac call screen flow that does the same thing. It cost $100. I think I'll buy that this week. Good tutorial
